"And don't act like you AREN'T doing that." You rub the bridge of your nose. "I know you're chasing after someone. Some ship. And I know it's not just any specific ship." The three high class crewmates around Captain Abraham are making throat cutting gestures, trying to get you to shut the fuck up.
Captain Abraham simply laughs. It's a deep, gravely laugh. "Why. Of course they know. We're chasing after the Admiral's Game. The crew knows. My right hand men know. Is that the issue?" Wait what. You glance back at the crew, who seem oddly confused at why this is an issue to you.
[ANOMALOUS ABILITIES] AN X5! THEY'RE NOT SCARED OF AN X5??
"She's listening to those old stories he's spitting out?"
"Feh. It's just some kook shit the Captain talks about."
"I mean hey. He's been a good boss so far. It can't be that bad."
The crew below the stage mutters amongst themselves. They really don't know what's going on.
"That FUCKING PIRATE SHIP WAS TRYING TO STOP YOU!" You pull out the documents and hold them up to the Captain and his three high ranking crewmates. "They were hired SPECIFICALLY to stop you from doing this, Abraham! Is it really worth it? What the hell is so important about your mission?"
Your allies crowd around to read the documents you recovered alongside the Captain and his officials. Your allies and his officials are deeply uncomfortable by what they read in the documents, muttering to each other about what they're actually heading towards. While the crew below is beyond confused at what the hell is going up on the stage.
Captain Abraham simply stares blankly at the documents with a cold, detached expression...
>HIGH ENOUGH CAPTAIN RESPECT! EVENT TRIGGERED!
Before he lets out an exhausted sigh. He turns over to his crew. "I must be honest, crew. We are heading towards a threat far beyond our understanding. Beyond the paradigm the City holds. Beyond the paradigm of rational thought. We are facing something that has destroyed many ships before us and will continue to destroy many more."
The crew, rightfully so, is horrified at the sudden lack of energy and forced hype in the captain's speech. You and your allies are also a bit put off by it. It's cold, distant, everything but his true and honest feelings on the matter stripped away.
"An X5 entity. Land lubbers known as ETF use a simple system. A, B, C, and X. 0 through 5. A and 0 being weakest. X and 5 being strongest." Captain Abraham clears his throat before continuing.
"Letter for containment difficulty, number for how threatening it is. This is something even the companies can not contain. Something even the Head is unwilling to spend resources to stop. Only the brave, foolish, and suicidal can stop it." Captain Abraham drones on. "The Admiral's Game, our hunting target, is such an entity."
"What the fuck? Didn't it take the best ETF Squad in the City to contain the last one?"
"The last one I heard about was during the Antiseptic War!"
"Can we even kill such a thing?"
