>>5274002I thought anons roleplayed really well, in particular proposing the wager in battle, working out that Marabet is perhaps an elf (?) but wants you to help her hide it by choosing to spread the lie of some other Elf archetype, all of the write-ins and the marriage proposal for La Danse du Farfadet, and even the verbal battle with the Knight Maiden at the end, all the write-ins were very convincing (sadly, the SPX is the "dice roll" skill check there, and just like in real life - there are no bonuses no matter what you do hehe). I think these anons
>>5272733>>5272738>>5272745expressed how I wish the world would be, but the SPX decides how it actually is lol.
So I was inspired a bit by the Local Lord quests, I really enjoyed those. The Oath is vaguely like the mudcore / ultrarealism attribute, but to raise it you have to basically throw yourself into uncompromising death again and again. All of the stats essentially also represent political opinions and how the world is seen and portrayed.
The Oath choice is not to run to Old Grandmother for fairy/elf magic but to choose the hill fort, Esker Leath as your first destination. In that scenario, there are no elves. There is not even much magic. And I think Tamlyn would also look... very different.
The secret with the ridiculous elf contest is that really any of them would do. I probably would have chosen the dwarf as the elf lol (based on Ulfberht and Ingelrii actual historical rune swords), then the Skraeling (based on some native indigenous tribes met by Vikings) and last of all the Langkaskan anime argh. Choosing yourself is to flee to the prancing fantasy world...
>>5265252I do hope all anons understand the terrible poem here
>>5265252and references like this
>>5272212by now, and are actually reverse trolling me by not revealing it lol or are just afraid of /pol tier discussion hehe.
In the game this poem is of course composed by Learmont the Rhymer (the Jester cannot rhyme) and hence he is banished and in hiding from the Court Of King Iosaef. This intrigue is part of the more realism-driven historical hill-fort choice path.
If anyone is unsure of its exact meaning I can reveal it, or it may just have to remain a mystery...
