You pull him up off the ground, and as his legs stretch out you set him feet-first to the ground. Once he's there you let go, your son wobbling a moment before falling back to land flat on his rear. Immediately he looks upset, frowning up at you. But you keep a smile on your face, giggling a bit to your son. Who immediately grins back and starts giggling as well. You once more grab him under the arms, raising him back up to his feet. “Aaaaah?”
“C'mon kiddo, try again.” you tell him encouragingly, and once you've got him upright once more let go. He wobbles on his legs a moment, then once more falls back. But this time he doesn't even seem upset, immediately laughing again. But he doesn't seem able to stand stationary for long. However, you don't think he'll need that to start walking. You rise back up to your feet, your son looking curiously up to you. But once you're upright, you step around behind him and take his tiny, fragile hands in your own. “Stand up again son. Today you're gonna start walking.”
“AAAAAAAH!” he shouts, sounding excited about it. So you gently pull him upright by his arms, pulling him back up to his feet. And then off his feet, and before he can start flailing, set him down atop your own feet. They feel incredibly tiny atop your own, then barely raise your right foot. “Ahhh?”
“Just like that.” you tell him, taking a few tiny steps with his feet atop your own. You then lift him back up, and set his bare feet back on the ground. “Now, you try.”
“Wooooh?” he asks, leaning back and looking up at you curiously. You chuckle, and with a slight tap from your foot kick his right leg in the back of the knee while pulling him slightly forward by his arms. “Baaa!”
“See? You're doing it.” you say encouragingly, his entire body spazzing as he flails with excitement at your words. You repeat the process with his other leg, and he steps forward once more. “Just like that kiddo.”
“AAAAAAAAH!” he shouts excitedly, trying to flail his arms but can't escape your grip. “Waaooaaaaah!”
You then pull him forward again, but this time without nudging the back of his leg. It takes him another moment longer to do it without your nudging, but he then takes a step with his right. It's unsteady and clearly wouldn't support his weight, but he's doing it. He's actually doing it!
