"If it's me you really want, then prove it! Call off the combatants and fight me outside the outpost!" You declare, and for a one long minute, Delta is still. It's a welcome break for you, your chest is heaving up and down as you try to recover, but you're still burning with the will to fight. Abruptly, Delta's laughter breaks the silence, followed by a pained grunt. Gripping the side of his helmet, he gives a strained chuckle.
"If I want them, I have to go through you, is that it?" Delta brings up his arms, slipping back into a fighting stance. "Dear brother, going easy on the humans? Only you care about that."
The lull in the fight lasted only a minute, and already, both of you are back in the thick of it. You wanted a fight? This was it. Lunging forward again, you lead with a familiar attack, then you mix it up by feinting out of it. Delta knows all your moves? Big deal, so do you. Managing to catch him off guard, you land a solid chop onto his shoulder. Trying to follow up with a normal strike proves fruitless as he parries your attack away. As a fellow martial artist, and his brother, you mentally applaud him for his defense. Descending into one leg you make a show of sweeping at his feet, only for him to jump up, to which you punish by launching into a flying kick right there. Shooting straight up like a bullet, you nail him square on the head. Knocking him onto his back.
Normally, not an attack any human could reliably execute. Fortunately, your armor comes equipped with short-range jets. This isn't like last time. Before, Delta had caught you off guard, striking both mentally and physically. Here, you're calm, serene. Lessons from long ago guide your movements. Delta's retaliatory strikes come swiftly, but focusing entirely on defense, you manage to dodge all but one, chipping away at the armor on your arm.
The fight seems to be shifting, slipping away from Delta. You start to wonder if it's because of a change within you, or if it's just him. Taking advantage of this feeling you decide to pressure him again. Unfortunately, you couldn't keep it up for long. Changing up your moves only works so much, especially when you haven't had the time or ability to change your fundamental movements. Delta easily reads you this time, blocking with his palms or shins, effectively pushing you back.
"Rider Punch," he declares. Your eyes widen. If this were anywhere but the medical building, you might have tried to negate it with another move, or dodging away. But if he goes right past you and uses his punch on anything, or anyone else...
