“I thank you Primarch TalOS.” Declared the Astartes as he took in such a comment. It was a quick reply, one that would have surely made few wonder if he did not carry any weight in the other’s words.
Vadar knew better though. Matthias would remember such a day.
The Legion Master of the Second soon stepped forward as he made his words known, “My Father, I know you would wish to reward the Seventh Legion for their service with us. They have been a valuable asset as their schemes have proven a perfect basis for our war. I wish to recommend a policy for that.”
“You have the permission to speak your mind my Son.” The Primarch said as his metal face somehow grew a phantom smile upon its form.
“I ask that for the Auxilia to begin with the Imperial Fists. That they are the first to receive my brothers, the Royal Knights of Dutonis, and the Legion of Titans. To make sure that neither side falls into debt with the other, the Imperial Fists have agreed to leave a cohort with us to advise and assist.”
For another long pause the Primarch thought to himself again. Though Vadar knew that there was a tinge of approval already within the heart of the Primarch as he heard those very words.
“I shall both give and accept said assistance. As you will be departing within the week, Legion Master Matthias, I shall grant you the first of our Auxilia.” TalOS declared as he waved a new hand produced from underneath his robes.
“I thank you Primarch TalOS. You have surely realized all that you have given to the Imperial Fists. It is painful that I must ask for more of you.” Legion Master Matthias placed an immense amount of weight within his words as he pressed forward, “May I ask one question for you to answer?”
“A question that has been weighing on your mind?” Asserted the Primarch as he leaned in with a moment’s interest, “What is it you desire?”
“What shall be the fate of Legion Master Vadar?”
For a moment Vadar looked upon his cousin with a moment’s horror, but he then realized this was the only moment for him to ask. Vadar could not know how much weight was placed upon his friend’s shoulders in the thoughts of what might happen.
>He shall remain Legion Master, for while the Astartes might be modified the Emperor’s vision was well founded. While I am their Father, I cannot be their direct leader due to obligation.
>We will see as I plan to integrate the Astartes and Acillian into a cohesive whole.
>He shall lead my combined Transhuman Legion. AL4N shall be his second in command.
