Ignoring the advice of literally everyone, I've created a second map to cover the underworld.
This will come with a few changes to the rules:
>Like Dead Land, Shape the World cannot be used to turn a hex into Solid Rock.
>Like Dead Land, Solid Rock can never be chosen as a favoured biome for a species.
>If you want to create a path between the surface and the underworld, that will require two uses of Shape the World - one for a hex on the surface, and the other for the matching hex in the underworld.
>A hex that is a path to the underworld or a path to the surface can also be another biome, free of charge. For example, you could make a Subterranean Jungle Surface Route for just one use of Shape the World.
>Species can spread through a path between the surface and the underworld, provided that the biome on the other side is a favoured biome.
If you're unable to find the matching hex on the other world when making a path between the surface and the underworld, just let me know and I can find it for you when I do the map update.
This doesn't create much work at all - it's only a little extra on top of what I've already got on my plate. So don't worry too much, I should manage.
