This warning is ignored by the Qarthadast, and consequently a preliminary exchange of fire arises. Neither of these ships are purposefully outfitted for all-out battle, but their armaments are still very capable of devastation. I think Klemperer Orbital begins just by sending some probing drones or interceptors, trying to ascertain the limits of the Qarthadast ship systems, in an attempt to gain spectrum dominance over the electronic warfare domain. The Qarthadast probably shoot these down, so this is what you are seeing set the skies alight in the heavens above.
