It wasn't perfect but seemed well received. Every character race/class just had one or two unique things it did, and every character only had to worry about rolling one die. Instead, the mechanics came from the rolls that were called. So rolling low was better for magic or stealth, rolling high let you deal more damage or avoid hazards, etc. I also tried to give every encounter at least one or two things everyone could do- like Fighters being almost useful in magic/spiritual encounters but they could still "Pray" to protect other party members.
