You ask if immortality isn't real then. That would have been fun to pursue.
"For humans? No. Fairies? Unsure." Zul replies.
You ask what she means.
"As far as we know there are fairies that can't die of old age, but it's not like 'forever' has passed yet so we can't be sure." The alien says with a shrug. "And death isn't so cut and dry for fae. Some of us have to die as part of our glamour. Some of us don't even retain our memory after doing so. Are they all immortal too?."
Your party walks over to the bookstore to meet up with Seshat.
The space is split into two areas. The closest to the door is a path leading to the back, punctuated by bookshelves forming alcoves, each with a sign naming the genre of book each container holds. The back part of the business looks to be a sort of cafe or deli, with a smattering of tables and a slightly raised wooden platform acting as a stage. On the walls along this area is a community board, as well as some display cases holding pieces from local artists such as zines, key chains, stickers, and prints. Because of the hour the stage is empty, though there are some people reading while enjoying a cup of coffee.
You find Seshat down the cul-de-sac of non-fiction, reading a book. Once again it's difficult to get her attention, however you hold back from tapping her on the shoulder in case she jumps.
While considering what to do Tamako walks up, and from essentially under the upraised book asks, "Jimiko, what'cha reading?"
"Huh wha-? Oh! Sorry, yes. It's a biography about one of the rulers of the United States named 'Abraham Lincoln'. It seems he is famous for freeing a bunch of slaves. This nation doesn't have pharaohs right? I think I heard someone say the British were this countries original rulers. Did he have to part the whole Atlantic Ocean to get the slaves away? Moses must have nothing on this fellow. Could he summon plagues too I wonder?"
Passing over the jumbling of United States history, Zul asks, "No anomalies here then?"
"Oh u-um... Sorry, I got distracted." Seshat chuckles nervously. Then seeing you asks, "Did that um, un-homed gentlemen have any useful information?"
You tell her what he said, though she hangs on your word the LGM is quick to point out things she thinks may not be true. The goddess seems very confused after this and says, "O-oh... His type. My father and the other Thoths have had to deal with a newcomer obsessed with these sort of things. Something about 'emerald tablets'. I don't really get it but it annoys him to no end."
Seshat and Zul discuss Atlantis and the Rosicrucians in hushed voices, while Tamako wanders off to the kids section. What do you do?
