Kairos continued to work on the Shifting Wood, procuring rapidly grown specimens from the noble Ser Greg. The new hybridised species between the Elderwood Trees and Plastic Trees showed amazing polymorphic properties. It was still alive, yet the wood itself flowed and moved like clay and putty, hardening like stone when threatened. It was self-healing as well, much like its elderwood ancestors. But it wasn't enough, the changes were happening slowly right now, and so they would need to refine the genome of this new species. Kairos took the best specimens, bred them together, then send the seeds to Ser Greg along with another squirrel who claimed to be ''Kairos the Eternal'' and exploded once more after he delivered the specimens
