"You know your daddy was in deep debt, bitch?" Too beautiful a voice for such a mean blue cunt, you thought, but you knew it was best to stay silent.
The gun's stock hits the left side of your head caparace. It's disorienting, and you find yourself on the ground, resting your back on the wall of this piss-stained alley. You spit a bit of azure blood and look at your assailants with hate. Their blue armor and various markings denote that they are Blue Suns. Probably paid by that asshole Chev to collect.
"My father's dead." You respond, your voice ondulating with the usual flanging effect of Turian speech.
The Asari grabs you by the collar. "And he owed money. Next of kin has to pay, scales. So you better scrounge something up or I'll make you wish you did." Her chitinous visage has its side protrusions shake in frustration, even with that, it's a candid and inviting imitation of a generic female's face.
"I got nothing." You respond. Of course, another hit from her rifle follows, harder, this time, you almost felt your cheek break.
She's about to deliver another when the human behind her takes hold of her shoulder. "We didn't get paid to beat him, sergeant."
She shrugs. "I barely did anything to him." She takes a few steps back and puts the rifle to her shoulder and squats so your heads are levelled. "We'll be back next week. And the next." Her face moves in tantalizing fashion. "You'll have something ready for me, won't you, spikey?"
You don't respond, after a few seconds, she lifts herself up. "Nothing more to do here." She says, and signals his squadmate to accompany him. "See you soon, bareface."
That last one stung a bit. The asari leaves with his companion, and you simply sit there, doing nothing because there's nothing for you to do. It was all pointless. You save up any credits, Chev's thug-of-the-week beats you up for them. You looked out of this alley, it led right to a side-hallway of the district you were in. From there, a window showed the busy space around the district. Ships and shuttles flew from one place to the other, lights emanating from everywhere and nowhere an orange hue providing a background to everything around you.
"Hey kid." You heard the distinct flanging of a turian voice. You quickly got up and looked around you.
"Look up." You hear. You do, and you watch a squatting turian on one of the alley's elevators. He has a blue, military standard issue armor on him, including a helmet. You notice a hint of a weapon on his back. Turian military usually have sniper rifles on that shoulder.
"Another debt? As I told the other one, I got nothing." You say, tired of repeating the same old adage.
"I can give you something." The turian says.
You look at him in the visor, defiantly. "What?"
