You're bored one day, sat at your computer. The internet is down, your best (and only) friend is off on some tour around Europe to 'find himself'. Pondering what to do, you remember that when you were a little kid, you'd open up a drawing program and fill the whole screen black before 'carving out' little rooms using the Erase tool. Then, you'd decorate the rooms with tables, chairs, little people and similar things. You're 28 now, but fuck it. It beats staring at your desktop.
You fire up "PaintAway", some shit that came pre-installed when you bought this computer. It's pretty barebones with the features, to the point that you could've sworn whatever it was that you used as a kid had more versatility than this piece of crap. It becomes increasingly apparent that this PC either came with a faulty version installed or you somehow picked up a virus that ruined your copy of this program, because none of the tools work properly. It takes longer than you feel happy admitting to click Help and read the poorly-translated text file describing how the program works. With that said, you're still not sure why it seems so damn limited.
Okay, okay, so... first room. It's gotta be something good. Maybe just a few squares, here and there. This shitty eraser seems to only be able to do 4px and 2px... well, it's fine.
There we go! A perfect little space, a welcoming room to open up the cavernous depths of your erasures. Time to draw some furni-
A rope descends from the top of the screen, flying downwards and then landing, coiled pile at the bottom of the space you've just created. Down it, a small figure descends, inching its' way to the base of the rope and investigating the open area. Is this some sort of AI-simulation program? Is it some kinda Lemmings game? As these thoughts cross your mind, the little figure turns to face the screen, and you hear a voice! It sounds grainy and bitcrushed, a nasty force against your ears.
