Surprisingly, the merchant seems to know his way around the tunnels. On the way, more hooded figures pop out, but thanks to your torch's light and the cramped spaces, they're as easy to take care of as a regular goblin. Thankfully, everyone manages to get out of the caves unscathed, and the merchant leads you to his carriage, were you take the remaining iron left over. It's not much, but you hope it will be enough to repair your armour. After a day of walking, occasionally making stops for fresh water and to hunt deer and feed the troops, you finally arrive at the town. You drop off the iron at the blacksmith before rushing to The Lord with the merchant. The merchant quickly explains the situation.
The Lord ponders for a bit, before ordering his army to mobilize. "Goblins could prove a bigger threat than we thought, if their tunnels stretch all across the land, not only our town could be doomed, but the others. I must send envoys and warn the other towns. The festival will have to be cancelled, my people's lives are more important than a mere birthday party." You keep watch for the night, but nothing out of the ordinary seems to be happening. The next day, you visit the blacksmith, where he promptly keeps your full body armour on display, as if waiting for a barrage of compliments to come his way. The armour does look to be of high quality, unlike any other armour you've seen in these lands. Even if you striked it with your Zweihander, it probably wouldn't even scratch, let alone bend.
"This beauty 'ere, I'm most proud of her. She's been through quite the journey even before being finished, eh?" He laughs to himself
You pay Kulguck the 25 silver you owed him and put on the armour. Surprisingly, it's quite light, and doesn't limit your movement as much as you expected. The perfect armour for someone like you. The mood is quickly ruined, however, by the distinct sound of blowing horns in the distance. You climb up the wall, and see tens of thousands of small, green dots. You know what's happening, and what they are, but just can't accept it. A goblin army? Attacking this town right here? How would they have grouped up so fast? "The tunnels.... But there's no way....." No matter how much you try to lie to yourself, the truth is right in front of you. A huge goblin army is standing right in front of the town's gate. From inside the town, you can't get a good look at their numbers and troops. It seems they haven't started their attack yet.
>scout around the goblin army, gathering as much info as possible and trying not to get spotted>remain in the town and defend it
