Summary:
You're raiding a warehouse in a few days cause one of your undead is too big of a boi.
>"Alright, bring it back in."
Blueberry nods, and the blood flies over to her in a stream, though it noticeably dips and wobbles as it goes back to her. As soon as she does, you see her wince before she collapses. Wait, no, that sounds way too bad, it's more like her legs give out, but she still has enough energy to make sure she falls on her butt rather than her face. She pants heavily.
>"I-I I'm Goood! J- *Huff* just, jus-, like, gimmie a few seconds."
As she does so, you scan her again. Odd. No reduction in actual magical amount. Sure, you get tired and shitty whenever you use too much magic and try to keep on pushing too, but that's because you're running out of magic, Blueberry just seems normal tired.
>"S-should I G-go again m- Anon? I-I, like, think I'm good now!"
She looks rather tired, and since you don't know how to actually measure how good she is, you don't know if hemomancy has the same possibly life threatening consequences as your own magic (hell, you don't even know if it's just a you thing even among necromancers) you're a bit hesitant to let her keep going. On the other hand, you know for a fact all that dumb shit is what made you grow, and unlike you, Blueberry isn't... undead? Is that what you are? You can still feel a pulse, but you don't need to eat or drink. Either way, very different.
>"O-or, I-I could try to drain that guy... I mean, d-don't want t-to kill, b-but... I like, k-kinda have to if I-I wanna help."
Her magic amount did increase the last time she drained someone, but again, her actual blood didn't go down in magic count...
...Fuck, you don't even know if this is actually magic or something more like how dragons breath works in video games where it is magic but not really and more like a weird biology thing where its part magic.
Or maybe it is magic and you're actually just shit at sensing mana, or hemomancy drains mana in a way you can't feel or-
>"Blueberry, how long do elves live again?"
>"Uh... I-I d-don't know, I-I think the oldest one I've met w-was... over a hundred, and t-they still look pretty y-young."
>"...S-so as long as I d-don't get hurt, I'll be able to s-stay with you guys f-for a long time!"
Alright, so if it's lifespan, which it probably isn't, you have a fuck of a lot of time to notice. ...Might wanna brush up on elf lore anyways though.
Wat do?
>"Alright, try bringing out as little blood as you can and draining him."
>"When you say you don't know, you mean like, you don't know, or like, just no one knows."
>"You can continue if you really want to."
