Despite your reluctance in dealing with people right now, it would be best to investigate these "heroes". If they were imitating your friends or at least attempting to steal their glory, you had an obligation to stop them. Their past deeds could be the only legacy they had now and you'd be damned if anyone would tarnish it. The crowd would be the best place to check. If what the guard said was correct, no doubt the impostors were making fools of themselves to garner attention and perhaps a free meal. You slowly make your way deeper into the village and immediately note something was wrong. Thankfully, not in the sense of imminent danger or trouble but rather there was a buzz of excitment around you. As you get closer to the crowd, you note there the people had an eager look in their eyes, espeically in the eyes of the young women in the crowd much to the frustration of the young men of their age. Even some of the older villagers leaned against a nearby building or a seat at the front of their homes as if waiting for something to happen. The crowd grows thick and even begins to resist you but you ignore the rather upset looks of the people nearby as you easily part the crowd to approach the center which coincidentally seemed to be at the doorway of the tavern you passed the night before.

"Please, just one more song!" You hear a woman beg.

"Or another story! I'll buy you your next meal and I'll give you some coin!" A man shouts. Soon cries for another tale or song erupt around you as the crowd goes into a small frenzy as they plead for whomever was at the center to stay. This puzzled you, clearly whomever was at the center of all could not be the trouble makers you were warned of last night. Unless the guard was alone in his opinion, this was the exact opposite response you expected from the townsfolk. Although, if anyone was passing off as Renshu or Xin Lan then perhaps these requests would fit.
