Welcome to TAXATION QUEST. In which you collect taxes for the king, and do some other stuff.
The Island of Munriden has not paid its taxes to the king for decades. This is unacceptable. The king, in his wisdom, has decided to give the backwater holding to someone in his court who has recently distinguished himself, preferably someone he'd like to get rid of.
After some deliberation, he decides to send:
> [SALOMAN BRACKWELL], A disgraced former knight, who was exiled for ten years, and has now returned. His time in exile has changed him from a cautious young man into a cautious middle-aged man. Which isn't much. (far left)
> [EMERSON CRATTER], A commoner clerk, who rose through the ranks thanks to his intelligence and efficiency. He would probably be the best to collect the taxes, if he wasn't so cowardly. (middle left)
> [MYKAR BRUZE], A younger son of a Great House, who like most younger sons, has an obsession with distinguishing himself. Vain and ambitious, he is becoming a liability at court, and the sooner the King is rid of him the better. (middle right)
> [ANDERON BAERLEY], A humble merchant, uplifted thanks to his connection to the King's cousin. The proud nobility are not fond of him yet the King's cousin owes his life to this man. (far right)
