Behold, Apoch.

Many aeons ago, this world was full of life. Now it is nothing more than a sterile wasteland, a collection of barren rocks jutting out of a lifeless sea. I do not know what happened here, but I wish for life to return to this desolate sphere.

I am the Scaper and just like all of you, I am a god. I have invited you to Apoch to assist me with its renewal, for I cannot hope to heal this world on my own. Perhaps you wish to cover the continents with peaceful meadows, or maybe you wish to create a race in your own image that shall reign supreme. Your motives do not matter to me. So long as life flourishes on this planet once more, I shall be satisfied.

I have no desire to waste my energy on more words when there is so much work to be done. So come, my fellow divinities. Let us transform Apoch into something beautiful, together.

Welcome to Dawn of Worlds: Apoch, a multiplayer game that is loosely based off of the tabletop world-building game Dawn of Worlds.

In this game, anyone who wishes to participate plays the role of a god that has been invited to help restore the dead world of Apoch. Using your divine powers, you will be able to shape the land and create magnificent creatures to inhabit it. With any luck, friendships and rivalries will form between you and other gods, as you compete to leave your mark on the planet in different ways.

This game shall be separated into multiple Ages, each of which has a different focus. The current one is the Age of Land and Beasts, which is dedicated to terraforming Apoch and populating it with all sorts of species. If this thread proves to be successful then I shall create another thread for the next era, the Age of Strife and Culture, which will revolve around civilisations and how they interact with each other.

If you're interested in participating, my next post contains all of the necessary rules. If there is anything that you don't understand, please feel free to ask.
