Somehow you must've drove for ten minutes without veering off or hitting anything. Not that there was anything to hit. This road is always empty at this hour. You need to get back home, but there's a petrol station nearby where you can get a coffee, or something.

Unfortunately, you must get back home. Your cousin is babysitting your 11-month old son, and judging by the clock you were meant to get back half an hour ago.

QM, don't ask for input if you want a particular answer. If you want us to drive home, just narrate that until we get to an actual choice point. The illusion of choice is much more frustrating than actual choice.
