A bit ago, a guy called Sweets-Loving QM ran a Fate quest by this name, but he disappeared some way into the sequel. It's been a long time since he showed up on the board so I feel like it's about time that somebody else took a crack at it. I'm a fan of Fate and I like writing so I figured why not? I've had enough of waiting for Sweets-Loving QM to return, and I want this story idea to reach a satisfying end. Of course I'll be changing plenty of details as well so that readers of the previous quest aren't too complacent.

As for the quest itself, it's a new Holy Grail War, with new Masters and Servants. Servant rules as well as magecraft rules are from Nasuverse canon, but I'll endeavor to explain everything so that people who aren't familiar with Fate aren't left in the dark as the player character won't be a trained magus. Certain choices in the quest will require a roll of 1d100 in order to determine success or failure with critical failures and critical successes on rolls of 1 and 100 respectively.

Now with all that out of the way, onto the quest!

You find yourself suspended in a void of color, the world around you is shifting and changing, wisps of colored energy swirl around you as you are suspended in the void. You can't feel your body, and somehow, the only sense you have access to is your sight. You wondered just what was happening to you, this must've been some bizarre dream, but even knowing that you didn't wake up.

You were helplessly forced to sit and watch the light show taking place before you as the the wisps of energy coalesced into a single ball in front of you, colors whipping past you at tremendous speed as they formed an iridescent sphere, though you couldn't feel a thing as the wisps passed through where your body should be. Looking down, you quickly saw that you had no body at all! The sphere continued to grow in size as the wisps of color continued to flow towards it, until you were left floating in a black void and staring at the sphere, the only object left that had any sort of color to it.

A horizontal crack suddenly opened up in the massive sphere in front of you, and you were left figuratively holding your breath as you waited to see what would come of it, bright white light peered out of the linear opening as it slowly begun to widen. The widening of the crack soon allowed you to see the interior of the sphere... pure white with the exception of a large red dot. No, wait, it wasn't a dot... it was an iris! The sphere had opened up to reveal a colossal eye!

You felt an odd sensation that tore at your very foundations as the eye glared at you, and for what felt like the first time in your entire life, you knew what true pain felt like. Even though you didn't have any sort of body, you felt like you were on fire, and you wanted to scream.

Finally, the eye let out a pulse of blinding light that robbed you even of your only sense, and as you started to wake up wondering about the dream, you recalled who you were...
