About 3000 years ago, your ancestors were defeated in the Great Interstellar War. A war so devastating that is resulted in the disillusionment of our Empire and the banishment of our people to our current home:
Sedara, 4th orbiting body around the star of Aralaka. Sedara is a hot, arid world that takes pity on no one. Limited water has led our people to exceptional conservatism with water use and recycling.
However a large city is built on the northern pole of Sedara. It is home to the Democratic Union Forces who assure that we never break the terms of our banishment and exile.

You know of many important people but have spoken to only a few of them.
You are already familiar with the High Hierophant of the Messianics Temple:
Kyarad Theodans and High Seer of the Esoterics is Madanrr, he goes my a Mononym.

High Commander of the Palace Guards is Mayrim Crythumos. She was suddenly promoted after the death of the previous commander about 5 years ago.
As bound by the treaty of "Brotherhood and Friendship" the Palace Guards can only number 11,111 exactly and there can only be enough armaments to arm the Palace Guards alone. Otherwise its would be a treaty violation.

The Sisterhood. A Paramilitary and quasi-religious organization made up of exclusively women, they believe that only natural births are approved by the divine and they themselves seek to maximize the number of natural births even with our strict population control. While they cannot take firearms they train in hand to hand combat as well as many types of bladed weapons. They are led by Sister Ultima, Naru Namariak.

The Miners Guild. In spite of the name this group encompasses all who live in the many small outposts around the planet. They are headed by Marion Kutari.

The Merchants Compact. Of the various traders and sellers they manage the trade routes between the occupation forces and ourselves as well as selling goods on behalf of the state itself. Highly regulated they often use members of the religious clergies as mediators in agreements to keep underhandedness. Immoral business act can result in the amputation of the hand or exile to the desert.

The Shapers. Skilled tradesmen (Not unlike yourself) manage the many many workshops and minor tradesmen guilds. We lack industrialization but the Shapers keep the spirit of tradecraft alive and to as high a standard as is required.

The Keepers. They hold the secrets of the past in the great Archive under the Palace Complex. They are also responsible for keeping all contemporary records as well. They are headed by Master Scriptor Lavarian Dovian.

There are also a few powerful families that have seats on the council but for the most part they are not the real movers and shakers in contemporary politics.
Who do you seek out or what do you do now in the Palace complex?

Fortunately the archives are below the Palace complex so there is little keeping you from finding them.
Taking a old elevator shaft down into the bowels of the palace.
You soon start to see the Basalt foundations as you head underground. These massive foundation stones were cut from elsewhere on this world and moved here, however this was done so long ago it is not known how this was done.
You walk down a wide stair case and enter a fir sized but cluttered room. Dimly lit the room is cool and almost slightly humid to your desert sensibilities.
You see many robed men hunched over books and scrolls.
What do you do?
