>>5385063Waiting. Growing. You waited enough. Hunger.
You wake up.
Around you there is only dirt. Your abdomen swelling. Young.
Instinctively you dig and dig until you have a small chamber.
Room for the young.
You have dozens of hatchlings.
They don't look like much, just weird worms.
But they tunnel. And they find food. And they grow.
And so you wait.
Ten hatchlings come back. Bringing food.
You can sense the air current. They found a way outside. They can find food and bring it to you.
They vomit the food into your mouth and you drink it greedily. You now know they have been to a swamp outside. Salty water. Fish. Berries. Bushes. Trees.
You spawn more hatchlings. You know they grow differently depending how you treat them. How you feed them. So you have a few hatchlings take care of them, feed them.
They grow bigger and stronger. Better drones than the first few.
Once you have a decent amount, you devour the tiny ones. You feel nourished. Ready to lay eggs.
You lay a bunch of eggs. No mates to fertilize them. No matter. Mates will be born.
The eggs spanw a few males. Sharp claws. Tiny warriors.
They use their claws to hold you in place while they mate with you. You lay more egss and eat more vomit.
The fertilized eggs give rise to real warriors. Tall, powerful, huge claws. You can mate with them. The first warrior kills all the tiny ones. The two of you mate.
As you go on mating, you realize you can decide whether you want to spawn workers or warriors. So you spawn more workers. You need far far more workers than warriors.
You could also spawn another queen.
Queen. Sounds good.
