You're a proud officer of the law and have been for about four years now. The pay is better than anything else you could find. Unfortunately today you're on the beat in Arroyo, alone with no backup. You were lucky the last few times, but it looks like the department is seeking to downsize and would rather not have to pay you your last check. All you have is the light shotgun they assigned you this morning (that you're not trained to use), your armored vest, and 25€$. You have to survive until Thursday to get paid. It is Monday.
You've been waiting in front of this building on the docks for a few minutes now, you should probably go back to patrolling. To the north you hear sixth street gangsters shouting and laughing. You heard a deathly scream a few minutes ago a few blocks to the south, so you make a mental note to avoid that route. You think you remember a vending machine with coffee and donuts several blocks to the East, but that's contested territory that Sixth Street and some small-time poser gang that get the visible features removed from their faces are fighting over.
You only know that you can't stay here for much longer, if they catch your GPS standing still much longer they'll dock your pay.
