The ship sways gently, almost imperceptively at times, as the ocean's waves beneath you push and crash against it. The sounds of metal being rolled around and wood creaking on wood can be heard from within as you hang from the edge of one of the many windows that the cannons which had previously fired upon you point out of. Now being cleaned, the windows give you an opening for you to slip in but you ignore this convienient entrance. "We'll take out the captain." You whisper to Xin Lan, the rabbit who was under your shirt and hanging from your neck. "Keep out of sight and make sure no one tries anything while I get their attention." Xin Lan does not reply but you do feel them wriggle out of your shirt and slip in through the window. For now you'd have to trust that they would do the right thing. More sounds of wood creaking against wood sound out as you slowly see the cannons being pushed back out through the windows and you use this as an opportunity to swing yourself up and over the railing of the ship's deck.

You land amidst the crew manning the sails and ropes causing them to freeze in surprise as a man somehow managed to board their ship and appear from out of know where. You take advantage of this and slowly make your way towards the one you presume to be in charge, another alligator dressed in much more well maintained armored clothing. A few of the crew mates come to their senses and begin to approach but suddenly crumple to the floor as they howl in pain as they cluch various limbs and body parts. Even you need to make an effort to supress your shock as you note the various knives sticking out of their wounds. There was no noise, no motion in the wind or any indication that something had been thrown. Just as you seemingly appeared out of nowhere to them, so too did these knives appearch from thin air for you. You had never known Xin Lan to be capable of such a feat, certainly not when they fought before. Perhaps this was them unchained and unshackled by restraint.
