A veteran of the united states marine corps, you find yourself in a far-out situation after an all-too-close encounter of the third kind!

In the last thread you cleaned up the lower city by taking out the remaining troublemakers, turned in some of the Federation drone ship bounties for starter cash, designed a new ship, put together a mining skip and crew to get the materials for said ship...
Then went off in search of an unlocked mass-fabricator, something large enough to build ships with. That search eventually led you back to a place you'd already been, although it was now unrecognizable.

You ended up finding that fabricator, and a spare ship to go along with it... but not everything went smoothly, as a massive geomagnetic storm was headed your way.
You did manage to escape it in the end, but something seems to have happened during that time.
