“Dear Lord, grant us guidance, and keep safe the souls of our loved ones for all eternity…” You quietly recite to yourself. They’re words meant to send off a woman found tragically dead in the countryside, but for your simple practice you dedicate them to your own late mother. The text is “Jubilee of Laguna”, a text you’re to recite in just a short hour for a funeral. It’s your first time doing such a thing, and you aren’t very familiar with the text, but you won’t be forced to memorize and you’re confident you’ll make a good impression.

You turn your gaze out the window of your small living space. Roma was truly alive this day, as your mind and vision wander out the window at the sunny afternoon. The summer of 1511 seemed to be defined by light. You were old enough now to truly begin to understand your humble life.

Your name is Cosmo Ludenzia, you’re 19 years old, finally of age to find your own way in life. Though, your main goal has to ascend to the college of Cardinals. It’s rare for one not of the rank of Bishop to be elected into such a class, but you’ve built close trust with many Bishops through your affinity for study and broad meditation on many holy texts.

Aside from your blooming career, you work part time for a blacksmith near the Ponte Sant’Angelo.

As for when you aren’t working?

>You fancy climbing. Getting yourself to rooftops none would think were possible to access, enjoying unseen views, and simply feeling the freedom of wind in your hair… (Agile Soul: +5 Swiftness)

>If you weren’t a priest, your next choice would be as a mercenary. You loved watching knights spar, and eventually that visual experience translated into becoming quite the rookie man at arms yourself… (Warrior Soul: +5 Strength)

>You’re a permanent resident of the various libraries, church or otherwise. Reading and learning put your mind at ease, and every bit of knowledge can be an advantage. (Scholarly Soul: +5 Magic)
