A Song of Landed Knights - ASOIAF Quest

ID:ihujeq45 No.5498239 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
“There’s a war coming, Ned. I don’t know when and I don’t know who we’ll be fighting, but it’s coming.” - King Robert Baratheon

A storm brews. House Targaryen has been overthrown by the Baratheons, the crowned stag tested by the Greyjoys of the Iron Islands. King Robert rose to the challenge, putting down the rebels and ruling in a time of peace in the Seven Kingdoms.

But there’s a change in the wind. As a house of landed knights, war comes to you naturally. You can sense it. While the “higher” lords engage in tourneys and dances and courtship, you ready yourself. You may lack the right of pit and gallows that “proper” lords have, but your house prides itself on its readiness. Some say you are eager for bloodshed. You think it simply wise to prepare for war in times of peace.

The year is 297 AC. Your house stands upon the precipice of change - but will you weather the storm?

Vote for one. This will determine your House, sigil, and realm.

>Dorne - House Yronford of Yronford.
Further up river and inland from Yronwood, defending the source of the Yron River from any seeking its wealth of water and wood. Having been founded during Aegon’s Conquest, they took the salamander as their sigil, dragonflame rejuvenating their willpower and forests. Famed for their guerrilla tactics, even among Dornish. Sworn to House Yronwood. The Yronwoods have always stood as rivals to the Martells, and the situation became tense once again when Oberyn Martell killed Lord Edgar Yronwood.
>Riverlands - House Silbey of Pennytree.
A relatively new house in the crowded Riverlands, they were dubbed the “dragons in the tower” for firing a decisive volley from an abandoned tower against a foe in battle. They’ve taken that imagery as their sigil and honed their longbowmen to be the very best. Sworn to House Lychester. The Lychesters were divided internally during Robert’s Rebellion, and the current Lord Lychester is an old man in decline, grieving over dead sons.
>Crownlands - House Longwaters of Shattered Rock.
A proud Valyrian line, hailing from Houses Velaryon and Targaryen, they were given an isle off the coast of Crackclaw Point. Famed for their swordsmen and their Valyrian steel blade, Dragonfang. Sworn to House Celtigar of Claw Isle. The Celtigars boast much opulence but keep to themselves.
>North - House Blacksword of the North.
Situated on Cape Kraken, the Blackswords have both ironborn and northern blood in them, earning them an outsider’s reputation. Famed for their marine and ship-to-ship combat, fighting as fierce as the ironborn. Sworn under the House Flint of Flint’s Fingers. The Flints are spread throughout the North in many different branches and are influential for their connections.
