The solution to this is so obvious it barely seems worth pointing out, but I'll do so anyway for the sake of decorum.

The wizard is returning from a quest, so he'll be low on magic aside from emergency spells. So first we'll set up to our smartphone to record a video clip, then we'll use the keychain to cast the shadow of a goblin through the window hole onto the wall next to the wizard, blocking any escape except towards Jerry's apartment. Because the wizard is too weak to battle right now, he will instead choose to flee using his emergency magic and items, which will bring him to us. Then, if he hasn't already opened a path to the door in his frightened retreat, we can blackmail him with the cellphone video of him running away from a Level 1 creature to get what we want.

Something about that name doesn't seem right. For starters Grongle sounds like a name a certain twitch streamer uses for Skyrim character creation.
