Let's play chess variants!
Rosicrucian/Enochian Chess is a 4-player variant made by the Order of the Golden Dawn for either play or divination and resembles Chaturaji. It's important to paint the board and each square represents a pyramid. Pic is a fully painted water board.
How to play
Simply edit it in paint or state your move. "Pawn to shin-air...err, f3."
Throw dice for next player. Dice decides the piece to move according to numbers below.
Water starts.
Plot
The forces of air, water, fire and earth are in disharmony. Only playing can restore balance to the game.
Pieces
1 King - Kether (if blocked, 1 is pawn)
2 Knight - Chokmah
3 Bishop - Binah
4 Queen (Chaturaji boat/vizir: leaps 1 diagonally) - Chesed
5 Rook - Geburah
Rules
Pieces other than queen move the same
No 2-pawn move, etc.
No castling
In this specific board, water starts. The order is clockwise water-fire-earth-air, etc.
Water-earth and fire-air are ally teams. You must capture both kings of the opposing teams.
(Optional for non-divination) A dice decides the piece to move. See above numbers.
(This game's rule?) Anyone can move but can't switch teams and we use dice?
There are other rules for late-game, see:
