You play a pair of children: Oliver Davis (Ollie) and Thomas Smith (Smith)
They aren't quite orphans, but they might as well be.
They're gone from home days at a time, only showing up for the occasional dinner.

These two children call the Forgotten Realms their home, specifically Waterdeep.
They've got big plans to be major adventurers some day and spend their days chasing that goal.

So, what sets apart this pair of kids?
Thomas (Black hair) was lucky enough to be born with a minor gift in magic: he can faintly detect magical auras.
It was through this gift that he and Ollie (Blond hair) managed to find and acquire minor magical items.

Both of them are 12 years of age.
