You worked in the family farm for as long as you remember. A teenager now, you're stronger than most grown men.
One day as you were out cutting some lumber, you hear the bell tolling. The bell normally only tolls by dawn and twilight to summon people to worship the gods. Some Kind of emergency must be going on.
You rush back to your family's farm to see if everyone is alright.
When you get there, you see the barn on fire and a small horde of ugly tiny humanoids stealing your cattle and burning the family's house. But you see no signs of your family. They must have ran downtown when they heard the bell.
You go around the city, avoiding the little monsters, until you arrive at the town center. The men are dead. They must have put up a fight and died to the aberrations. They put all the woman in the temple, locked it and burned it.
The children are tied by rope.
While you ponder on what to do, a bunch of the monsters grab you and toss you in front of their leader.
"You will live to tell that Grogar, the Ruthless, under orders of the Dark Lord Zoltar, destroyed your village and all you hold dear. Tie him to a horse."
The monsters tie you to a horse and dispatch it in the opposite direction the monsters came from.
The horse eventually reaches a village and they untie you.
"Monsters… they attacked our village…", you say, as the villagers give you a little water.
"What kind of monsters?"
"Tiny monsters… their leader was… Grogar… they took orders from… Zoltar…"
"Oh, no! It must be the goblin army of the Dark Lord! They might be coming here next!"
You collapse of exhaustion and wakes up in a comfortable bed.
You try to get up, but someone touches you and says:
"No, no, don't get up yet. You been tied for days. It's a miracle you're still alive."
You gaze towards the voice and see a young woman in a sober dress.
"I must… do something. My hometown was destroyed and I couldn't do anything."
"We sent a Horseman to the duke to ask him for armies to protect us. We will be alrig…"
"Selena, come. Hurry! The monsters are coming.", you hear an older woman opening the door and grabbing the younger one by the arm.
"But.. but…"
"We have no time, come!"
You get up and notice you are naked. Your clothes are nearby so you wear them. Someone washed them and they smell like soap.
You leave the room and find people hiding in the cellar.
"You all go hide. I will put a carpet and this table on top of the cellar door. No one will find you.", you say.
"And what are you going to do?"
"I will kill them!"
"You'll be killed... please reconsider!", says Selena.
"That's the choice of a man Selena. Kind stranger, have this.", says the old woman, giving you a sheathed longsword.
"It belonged to my husband. Make good use of it."
"I will."
You walk towards the center of the town.
A few goblins see you and come running in your direction.
What do you do?
> Run towards the goblins sword on hand
> Wait for the goblins approach sword on hand
> Pretend to be unarmed until they are very close
