The Multiverse is a big place, full of infinite possibilities. A garden of ideas waiting to be plucked from their own times and spaces, the ideal for unlimited experimentation without restriction. There was nothing that could not be done with the vastness of it all.
Beyond the scope of perception, beyond the fathom of mortals, entities complex and devious conspired in the shadows to create the perfect testing grounds.
A realm segregated from the rest of existence yet connected to every thread all the same. It was a simple form, full of stars. The primary port of which is simply known as the Crossroads. A planet dominated by deep seas, blue skies, modeled directly after the familiar planet Earth, with many features both natural to the terran projection and full of unknown mysteries and hidden secrets left behind by the makers.
The spacial rifts and meddling of the unseen testers yet draws forces in from all over the Multiverse, seemingly at random abducting anything and anyone from their source to drop into the waiting chaos below, intended only for the raw potential of combining all these factors merely to see what will happen.
And so begins the tales of The Crossroads.
