And there's something else I realized. Fenneko might not take it well if we do go.
I feel like we should at least consult her and Haida if we do accept. But I'd rather not go to the mixer if we can help it.
>>5601391I have to disagree with that, since we don't really have any issue with dating.
>We could interact at the mixer under a friendly pretense, it isn't a romantic occasion in of itself. It's intention is to meet potential dates. Sure it can be fun, but the context (Tsunoda probably putting us up with Retsuko, and generally the big possibility of getting asked out as well as our response) gives it another angle. And it's the perfect situation to get asked out, especially since Tsunoda will the there as well pushing things.
>>5601399I don't think just saying that will be the best option. It won't be too satisfying of an answer, and if we start dating Fenneko or anyone else (and there's a real chance we might, if not in this thread then in a few others) it'll just make complications.
>>5601407Doing that doesn't seem fair to her. Again we'd just be dating her for the desire to make her heart broken, I feel like people will vote to be a jerk just to get to that end.
And if we don't vote to be and ass then she probably won't ever want to break up with us.
Not just that, but aren't we trying to get her together with Haida? If we decide to date her then we'll at least make Fenneko think we've betrayed her.
>>5601406>Romance is not required. It's not required, but it will be asked of us. How we respond has the potential to break relationships.
>>5601421Not likely, since Tsunoda will try to make it so that we go with the same table as us.
She's the main organizer of the event, and likely will be able to influence it more than we can.
And dating someone else just to not date Retsuko doesn't sound like a good idea, especially since we've shown interest in Fenneko.
