As it turns out, I wasn't meant to swap this thread. Do not follow this example either.
1 AP: Move 1 North, 1 Northeast, 1 East
2 AP: Aimed Shot at Hermano (1st roll, +2 aim and crit on 7)
1 Edge: Quick Shot at Hermano (2nd roll)
1 Edge: Stance
2 Edge: Steadfast
1 Edge: Hermano. His fighting style is... unorthodox, to remain courteous, but such a man must have gaps in his technique, or weaknesses in his approach. Find them. Exploit them. Such is the way to victory. (Sharp Check, +6)
Nishina recoils as a large man rounds the corner, clutching at his chest. Beneath his meaty arms, she sees the bloody ruin that Hermano's chainsaw has made of it. An ordinary man would be dead of such a wound, and certainly not still on his feet, turning to fire as he staggers.
A breath, then she follows the lead of a few others, Mizuchi among them, and rounds the corner herself. She sets foot in the whirling smoke, her outline obscured within, but not her presence. Nor the presence of Hermano.
Within an instant she realises what must be done. Sheltered within the building as he is right now, he is safe from most gunfire. Yet if he is allowed to run out, he shall repeat the work he has done to the large man from before, to another who may not be able to survive it. Someone must hold him in the open so that more guns may be brought to bear. That someone must be her.
She raises her pistol, taking careful aim and then blazing away with aims to attract his attention more than anything else. Then the weapon returns to her hip, and she grips her katana in both hands. Her stance is low, holding her hands near her waist and angling the blade down to the feet of an imaginary opponent a few paces away. Gedan, Low, she knew it was commonly called, though in her family's traditions it was Nyudogumo, Thunderhead. It appeared a weak defensive stance, but the blade could swiftly be brought up to defend attacks, and from there a counterstrike was easy to perform.
Thus prepared, she calls out to him in a clear voice, "いざ尋常に勝負!"
[Come, let's have an honourable showdown!]
Her challenge made, she focuses absolutely on Hermano, analysing him with a critical eye. It was immediately obvious that he was as his weapon: ferocious, yet graceless. He would have weaknesses, openings, inefficiencies. Spotting and exploiting them would be vital if she hoped to make this stand.
