There's a PUBLIC charter school, Nevada City School of the Arts in Nevada county, California.
The school has multiple sources of funding; from getting tuition from the parents, public funding (via our taxes) BUT ALSO the school holds a yearly fundraiser in which they ask and raised on their annual giving program an average of 160k USD/YEARLY!!!
Despite multiple sources of funding, the school is struggling. Things are BARELY functioning to code having everything kept poorly. Circuit breakers always shutting off, constant water leaking from somewhere in the campus, there's always a moldy smell coming from the vents, 2nd story wooden patio that needs repair yet it's still in use & a garden/greenhouse that's built but never in use.
It's been overheard by some colleagues that the principal/director in a drunken stupor, bragged that she with the help of the school's business manager are embezzling incoming school funds for THEIR OWN PERSONAL USE. Mentions of shopping and vacations.
It's not just upsetting that the principal steals taxpayer money via school funds, steals from the tuition from our small community but most of all is that she's depriving children K-8 grade of the education they rightfully deserve.
I made a request to the IRS for an audit but unfortunately to do so requires me to go through a lot of channels, hurdles, red tape, formalities, hoops I have to jump through. That's why I'm here to make & expedite this dire request. If anyone knows how to report these things to the IRS, the superintendent of Twin Ridges elementary school district & members of Charter Governance Council, PLEASE HELP!!! This type of corruption needs to end!!!
