Recap:You are Ookami, a fox working what you thought was a dead end office job in Japan. Your life still felt mostly empty besides the endless cycle of work,sleep,repeat. Recently you've decided to make some meaningful decisions or at least to make the best of the place you find yourself. You've pushed yourself to work harder towards a promotion and started being more social. While you've totally enjoyed your newfound friends it's put you in some tougher situations to navigate and started to make you reflect on and confront some of your past. The short of it is you used to be a bastard. You hurt people and made a lot of bad decisions that culminated in your parents kicking you out, eventually you managed to drag yourself back out of the pit with a newly found deep sense of empathy and an appreciation for all the opportunities you had and wasted. You've managed to combat the guilt and navigate these new challenges well and even find yourself on a date with Fenneko, a cute and snarky office gal. You've bonded a fair amount by being wing-canids for another mutual friend Haida and occasionally flirting the line by giving each other a compliment or flirting here and there but romance is a whole new thing.
>Head in and loosen up
You figure it should be fine and head in to the restaurant, you ask for a table for two and make some small talk with a familiar waiter while you wait to be seated. It's nice that they remember you and they play you up a bit remembering how humble you'd been the first time you came around. Fenneko plays along and ribs you about being so humble and throws in a compliment that it wouldn't hurt to flaunt looks like yours a bit more. You take the time to relax a bit too, There's definitely no need to stress over if Fenneko is taking this seriously or not. That's just how she is and you'd kinda miss the teasing if it stopped now. You hit her back telling her not to get too shitfaced since you don't wanna be dragging her home with her replying that you should be more worried about yourself since she's never seen you drink more than just a beer or two. You get seated after a bit and while it is a bit busy it's nice for the more casual vibe that you've been running with, you both have some time to flip through the menu leaving you with the choice of if you really wanna treat her or just have some food and drinks.You'll also need to decide what your conversational approach is going to be
