The Great Fleet launched from their home Island to the “Anyaten Empire,” a lawless land ruled by wealthy Guilds.
Makana, the youngest daughter of The Island’s former leading political family, convinced Fleet Captain Nizax to take a small crew to the Plains of the Empire.
This crew included 6 Knife, warriors of the Anyaten death cult.
While pitching it as a way to gain intelligence, her true plan is to claim power of her own in this foreign land.
Returning from her journey, she tells her Captain what transpired...
Nizax: Makana, you’ve been gone almost a month. What happened?
“We got held up by pirates on the way down, but we gave them some Dreamdoor to fuck off.”
Nizax: You gave away drugs to pirates?
“Not done yet. We got to a shithole of a farm and planted some grass, then the Garden Guild came asking for taxes but we gave them some Dreamdoor to fuck off.”
Nizax: You SOLD drugs to a foreign power without us knowing?
“It’s cool, I told the farmers I was a holy Child of the Loa come to save them.”
Nizax:...
“And then the MUCH richer Fountain Guild dicks showed up, but don’t worry, I didn’t give them any Dreamdoor.”
Nizax: Small victory.
“I told them to fuck off with nothing and that if they tried anything, The Fleet would invade.”
Nizax: Oh! Lait malolo liklik...
The Captain starts pacing circles in the sand. While they mutter to themselves, Lani, Head Ambassador to the Anyaten ( and certified religious freak) rushes to your face.
Lani: Is this true? You spread the Holy word of the Loa?
“Yeah, and it seems you’ve been doing some spreading yourself. Ever hear of a small buggah named Ōra?
Lani: One of the most promising sharks I’ve managed to herd.
“I told them to talk story. Soon the whole Plains will know The Children of the Loa are looking out for them.”
Lani: And why this sudden change of heart? I haven’t known you to care about anything you couldn't drink, eat, or fornicate with.
> I am a faithful servant of the Loa. (Large Lie. High Die roll required for it to be believed.)
> “I told them that to help The Fleet (Mild Lie. Medium Die roll required for it to be believed.)
>"I’m trying to build power here. (The Truth)
