The Nation of ferrovia has fractured with the death of king Harold with three successor states and a bandit kingdom now fighting over the nation's future. King Elric, the king's brother backed by the landed nobility of the country, wages war in hopes of holding up the monarchy and by connection with the landed gentry. As he styles himself now Lord protector Baric attempts to halt the Monarchists and reformists from harming the status quo with the backing of the army his force is small but well trained and armed. The last of the main contenders is Queen Meredith the sole child of King Harold and devout reformist backed by merchants democrats and communists alike she must lead this dispraite force to victory.
You are Edmund Drayton a yeoman of humble origins now a the leader of the first airborne division of Queen Meredith's ferrovian kingdom. Through well timed attacks and some luck you have rejoined the frontline of the war afterwards being directed at the queens request to join the urban battle of the culturally important city of albrects ford.

The city is truly a mess, your recon flights unable to find the Junta HQ amongst the rubble the do however find the bridges the junta are using to shuttle supplies into the city. The unfortunate fact about finding these bridges is the fact they are well protected by heavy AA guns if your Division XO Taylor is to be believed most likely purchased from Marasalia
The infantry complement have somewhat better luck with your men performing lighting raids in the night and during the day taking advantage of their superior infantry equipment to target Junta officers and specialists. The infantry do note the Junta seem to be making large scale use of Radios allowing them to respond to your raids faster then you initially thought.
