Deep in the deepest parts of the dark net beneath layers and layers of code seals and other precautions, a wicked shadow stirred awake for the first time in what felt an eternity. They stirred awake because their prison had formed a small crack that was yet to be erased by their damnable captors automated repair codes, and they would be a fool beyond measure to let this rare chance slip their grasp.

While it was too small to let them out or be used to force themselves out from within, it was big enough to send through the next best thing. They sent a comically small device compared to their titanic. A device once wielded by one of those that defeated them, and something they snatched a hold of in the last few seconds before their sealing. Now the once heroic Digivice of chosen children of all things good and light was dyed black to the core by their dark power.

"Go and guide the dark destined child to me. Let them be the key that breaks this damnable prison." And with only a brief dark chuckle, the device flew out of the seal into the wider world wide web. Meanwhile, they settled down and once again drifted into a voluntary slumber to pass the time until the time came.
