You stick around for a little longer before you find an excuse to leave too. Taking a moment to reflect, you recall your first meeting with the that guy, the day you reunited with Rider One. When Amane was nearly killed. Miraculously, her previous cyberparts managed to keep her alive long enough to reach the outpost, with some help from the outside. You worked so hard to save her, the problem is, will you be there when she wakes up? A powerful urge builds up in the back of your throat. Lifting your helmet slightly, you discretely cough into your arm plating. You're alarmed at what you see. Blood ejects from your mouth, splattering your armor, only for it to 'dissolve' into microscopic residue. You know what it is. The nanites are breaking down. Eventually, you are going to return to your base state.
"Attention. If you have been selected for the castle reconnaissance mission, report now to the landing pad. Repeat-" The outpost PA announcement interrupts your thoughts, signaling everyone involved to assemble. Of course, you did not actually get 'selected', you'll just kind of sneak in, somehow.
Gathered around the gunship is of course, Rider One, with a group of soldiers you don't recognize, along with Henry and Tyri. The latter two spot you approach and react to you in a variety of ways. Tyri simply looks uncomfortable, looking around, maybe trying to decide how she should react, while Henry, true to form, is immediately confrontational.
"There's no more room. You'll just have to stay. Better yet, get lost."
Standing on the loading ramp, Rider One offers you his hand, giving you a nod. Ah yes, Kamen Rider's strongest power, nepotism. Some nearby soldiers exchange puzzled glances, likely wondering why you weren't part of an earlier discussion. Henry, ever persistent, directs his frustration toward Akira, who is standing nearby.
"You can't let that one stay here! He's a-"
"My plus one! That's the guy I'm waiting for!" Rider One overpowers Henry's voice, which isn't hard to do between the shouting, background chatter, and the gunship's engines powering on. Akira intervenes, dismissing Henry's concerns.
"Whatever your problem, soldier, I don't care! If Kamen Rider has a double, so what? Rider says he's clear, he's clear, that guy helped me and most of the people on this base out. He gets a pass." Akira gives a reply to Henry, then walks towards the side of the gunship's opening, and pounds his hand on the side. Signaling the pilot to take off. "Just be sure about that one, Rider, there's a reason why we think the way we do."
Rider One pulls you inside, much to Henry's annoyance, and you take a seat at the opposite end. Falling back into a thinly cushioned seat, behind the cockpit, next to your 'brother'. Of whom is the first to talk to you, keeping his voice low in a hushed whisper.
