Due to your dragon blood, your hearts produce lots of heat and keep you warm! However, over time they start to crystalize and by the time a lizardman reaches old age their hearts are just a big crystal, too hot to touch. This heat may last for months or even years after the lizardman dies. Some say how long exactly it will last will depend on how pure was the lizardman blood. Others say it just depends on how well the lizardman was fed. You call these crystals Draguhearts, or Dragus.
You derive your sustenance mostly from fish you catch in the oceans. There is a massive abundance of fish in these cold waters, for there are few natural predators. Still, your tribe grows slowly due to the fact that only a small fraction of births have the right blood.
