I've never run a quest before, and I definitely don't have anything prepared for this, so it would be 100% unpracticed improv. But if you're willing to lower your standards to the floor and maybe provide feedback, I'd be willing.

Not against providing feedback either. I usually don't because when I have in the past, other voters have sperg'd out on me, even if the QM was receptive. But if you're actually wanting feedback, I can do that.

That's someone else. I'm still kinda tossing it up, spitballing some lore, seeing if anything sticks. I don't know about a new thread, I would feel more pressured to deliver but on the other hand it might entice voters.
If I do continue this, I will probably write a bit more of an intro to establish the setting, and it may not be locked into magic using.

Because you're not even fully confirmed to take over yet, and I don't want to sap your already low motivation with "PLS NEW THREAD", when hijacking is literally part of the cultural fabric here. I am using the OP intro as a prompt, and a world where 'magic is being rediscovered' will have many ways to solve problems that are mundane. It's shaping up to be urban fantasy, so there would be plenty of rogues, warriors, etc.
Psionics would be another form of magic in the setting, I dont think I'll use the elemental+light/dark tree that was proposed though.
