>>6114113“Aha, they haven’t said anything, but I’m pretty sure they’ve worked with the Inquisition in the past. Apparently, the Inquisition and the guild are tight-knit behind closed doors,” You almost feel bad for how easily Seo-yun eats up your lies.
”But you do not,” Yes, that’s why I said almost, baka.
“But if you’re sure they’re chill, then why did you agree to go on the mission the Heaven Society told us to do? I mean, I only had to deliver a package somewhere, but Maxwell was responsible for that huge burning of some dude’s Chateau. What was it? Cender something?”
“O-oh, yeah, my mission was simple like yours. I didn’t even know the Heaven Society was behind all that awful stuff until now,” Delivering a package? That’s it? You would’ve tried to plant doubt about the Society here, but that’s not something the Inquisition would raise a huge stink about, is it?
She nods, “Yeah, I didn’t at first either. I was just so happy to know I wasn’t alone here. I didn’t even think about it till it was over.”
“Same,” At that, the conversation dies for a few awkward minutes as the two of you kinda just look around and wait. It should be about now the doors open, so you don’t really want to say more. You tried to come across as impartial to the Inquisition, but anything that doesn’t paint them as raving lunatics might just push Morgan over the edge into outright accusing you.
“Hey, what do you think’s taking Miss Vamp and eyepatch so long?” Seo-yun finally asks as she stares at the door.
“Maybe the thing Rin figured out was that Morgan’s a vampire, and he’s trying to get her to turn him? Graduate from chunnidom to something actually kind of edgy?”
“Hmph, that’d be something. Not sure I’d like our chances if that happened.”
“Don’t worry, I still have some coins on me,” You say to Seo-yun’s confusion, “You know because she’s a vampire?” No realization, “If you drop coins, vampires have to count- Oh, never mind, I have a sunlight sword.”
“Oh, okay. That sounds like it’d be effective,” Seo-yun absentmindedly says before reaching into her purse and cursing when she doesn’t find what she’s looking for, “Hey, did your phone come with you here?”
“No, only my clothes did.”
”And myself,” You don’t count. I didn’t own you before.
”You don’t ‘own’ me now,” Want me to tell Asher-kun you said that?
”No, please. I’m sorry.”
“Fuck, me too,” She says after flopping back onto the bed, “It kinda sucks here sometimes.”
“Yeah, no arguing with that,” What you wouldn’t give for a normal shower.
Still, this is taking a while. It’s definitely been at least ten minutes, maybe more. Should you try and open the door on your own? Or maybe take initiative to talk to Minato-kun and Maxwell? Or perhaps you can just stay put and wait. Is that what Morgan want’s you to do?
