From your sacred Burrow, deep within the shadowed caverns, you spawn troll after troll, each one emerging as a feral infant, already possessing the strength of a grown human within mere hours. Their ferocity and hunger are boundless, but so too is their recklessness. Though they grow ever stronger with each passing day, most are doomed by their foolishness, falling to the dangers of the world before they reach adulthood. Few of your sons—and the rare daughters—ever survive to maturity, but those who do become terrifying forces of nature.
Among your spawn, females are exceedingly rare, perhaps one in every hundred, though until they reach adulthood, there is no way to tell them apart from their brothers. All the young trolls look alike—ugly, hulking, ravenous. And every one of them worships you with blind devotion, for you are their goddess incarnate, the sacred Giver of Life. They bring you everything you need from the outside world, for you never leave the Burrow. Your trolls do all the hunting, raiding, and scavenging, while you reign supreme, deep in the earth.
Recently, your trolls dragged back a human who spoke of a nearby noble, a man called Count Fragot. After much coaxing, and some necessary violence, you forced the human to teach your brood a smattering of human words before you devoured him. Now you know the Count’s name and a little about the lands beyond your domain.
You are not entirely sure, but you estimate your current horde of babies numbers around four hundred strong. They are hungry, restless, and eager to prove themselves. Their wild eyes gleam with a dangerous energy as they await your command.
What shall you do, mighty Maga?
> Dispatch the trolls to raid Fragot's Manor: Your spawn could storm the Count's estate, tearing down his walls and seizing whatever treasures—or food—lie within.> Dispatch the trolls to raid the nearby villages: The smaller settlements surrounding your territory would be easy prey for your ravenous children, their supplies ripe for the taking.> Dispatch the trolls to seek potential allies: While your children lack subtlety, there may be others in the land who share your disdain for humans. Perhaps they could form alliances—if they don’t eat them first.> Tell the baby trolls to try to avoid humans, though you know they won't: You could attempt to rein in their destructive tendencies, but their hunger and stupidity make this a hopeless endeavor. Even with your command, they would surely disobey.> Write in
