You also control 9,999 Ent slaves who used to rule the Swamp before your ancestors came here. Currently, they are inbred, uneducated, and nearly completely cut off from their natural affinity for Forest Magic.
To the north, west, east and southeast, the swamp is the swamp. It doesn't do anything, because it's inanimate.
To the south, snortheath and weast, Horsemen With Ostrich Heads (Hwoh) are settling the land and erecting restaurants and libraries. Myce can't read, but they can eat. Books, and other food, too.
Counterclockwise, upside down and inside out, the Cyber Police of the Meccaloids are trying to pierce your magical veil of shadows protecting the Swamp that your Swamp sages worked super duper hard on creating. They are using an unknown technology that we don't know how to counter.
