Leaving Joe under the watchful eyes of Onlion, you and your mon friends made for Fort Brass to seek help from the humans during the first day of their festival, but instead you were found by Yuccaza and his human Raul, a member of the Traders! Fleeing to the top of a parade float full of human dancers, your fancy footwork was followed by a friendly meeting with the traveling nurse Charlie and her mon Shootuner!
Rescuing Joe and returning to Fort Brass, you set out into the streets to find your first job and ended in the employ of Trevor, a down-on-his-luck mon groomer with no help and an angry Pokumon! Subdued by the suds of your shared soaking, Pokumon proved no problem, and Trevor treated you to your first day's pay, but the big payoff was your <span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-g">LOVE</span></span> stat increasing thanks to your generous gesture of a hot sandwich to Joe!
With Joe back on his feet and you posing as a Plodapod, you all attended the festival's closing ceremony surrounding a huge crystal, but when Joe was put in the spotlight, you were filled with energy from the strange selection! Unable to sleep, a late-night fly-by by your friend Auroara led you both to a secret between Auroara and her human Overseer Kinsen that had been left buried for thousands of years! Accosted by alien-type mons beneath the crystal, you fell victim to its Spectrum ability before falling through the floor into the liquid lair of the lurking Lottamax!
Saved from certain submersion by Auroara's aquatic actions, you and your friends all shared a ride in Charlie's buggy to the train station in Weldspring, where you bid farewell to Auroara and entered the Cutécaptor before Joe boarded the train to meet a professor who specializes in human-type mons! The ever-foggy Cape Smelt was scary, but its resident Professor Lungwort was even scarier! After leading you and Joe to his parlor alongside his partner, the airheaded Miasmiss, Professor Lungwort revealed he was really a human-type mon called Spyjak posing as a Professor to plunder the powers of other human-type mons before Miasmiss subtracted their stats! You survived with your <span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-g">BODY</span></span> intact, and Professor Lungwort's timely test questions caused your <span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-g">MIND</span></span> stat to double before Miasmiss's hunger made short work of Spyjak's <span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-g">BODY</span></span>, and Spyjak as well!
With the house to yourselves, you discovered the duplicating Ekro, but when Joe insisted on keeping you out of the fight, Ekro escaped and Joe was left holding the snare!
