Last time you went to class high and coked up! Got bitten by corn with teeth! Realized that something was underneath the huge tree out by the gates, even if it wasn't the wand of Salazar Slytherin! Gave PTSD to a few jerks. Got yelled at by a tiny girl with autism! Helped protect the campus after you may have fucked up some of it's protections! Saved a fairly handsome boy and kept your newest little sister from getting herself killed! Shot guns and kind of sucked!

Now time to head to your sister's Quidditch try-outs and hopefully not die before the weekend!

The stands… they were quite empty. Depressingly so. You suppose it made sense, even if the Professors had had gone and assured the students that Ilvermorny was safe and there were now a far larger number of Pukwudgies on the grounds; quite a few more adult witches and wizards out and about.

It made you a little sad, because? Judging from her warm-ups? Your amazing little twin? She was going to make the rest of the people on the pitch regret not just sleeping in. She pulled off tight loops, rolls, and shots from half the field away… you were very glad she had knocked back a bottle of Slow-Fall since you are pretty sure mom had removed the automatic arresting Charms to get rid of the speed limiting ones on your twin’s broom so it was like her own, when you and her were back home.

Once the try-outs got going… the Pukwudgie Captain was conspicuously absent. Another girl with midnight black hair was there in his place. Gave instructions alongside three other people and a teacher.

The first part of the try outs would simply be making it through hoops of light the older man with silver hair called into being and checking times. Boring. You didn’t even bother to watch; chatted with the others some till it was Emmy’s turn, where you and the other cheered her on.

Emmy… well you were your mother’s children. Small. Not as waifish perhaps and Emmy did have a fat butt and her cow tits but, still? It let her be fast. Agile. She pulled off some rolls that tossed her head first into the loops of light faster than should be normal. Blasted through the course like a blonde-haired comet.

Had her little enchantment that made it look like the end of the Firebolt was on fire and put out a few tiny, harmless sparks behind her. Looked cool while she nailed turns that were like an S curve on a road despite going full speed.

Suppose this is why she was in-fact a better driver than you, even if you were awesome.

Practice like this.

Having the same NEED FOR SPEED you did but had honed it to a razor edge.

And?

You think that last loss at Hogwarts may have lit a fire under her ass, since she had been practicing every single day, every minute she could since you got to Ilvermorny. The drugs might have had a hand in it too along with her lucky cap, one signed by her favorite pro player; even if tall, dark, and brooding wasn’t her type? It was still the hat that daddy had given her. Had pulled some strings to get signed at your first World Cup, after the match that had made Emmy fall in love with the game alongside mom adoring the sport and flying with the two of you often as kids.

Maybe the calls from your small fan section helped some too… the both of you had done cheer while in primary school.

You had learned how to encourage people.

Also, how to do a sick, awesome a back-flip, heh.

Emmy? She easily got the best times, followed fairly closely by a small dark-haired boy. Never hit one of the circles of light yellow. Out ran the 7th year working as a pacer, twisted around him and went through the little rings ahead before he even knew what was happening.

Around you, there were murmurs about if she was going to be the new Thunderbird Seeker.

Your little twin loved playing with balls far too much to be a Seeker, even if being relatively petite would make her a good one… balls. Ha.

But? In truth? Em loved mom to death.

Wanted to be like her; maybe not the nearly dying thing but, she was Emmy’s idol. Your twin couldn’t be anything but the best Chaser Ilvermorny had seen in a century.

She had to make mom proud; even if she already was, just by her girl just being herself.

You couldn’t go down yet when the racing ended, give her some encouragement, but you could lower your barriers, let her feel how happy, how proud you were of her; let her leach a little power since it had been a long night and you loved her despite how the pair of you could be. Would let her cheat a bit since broom flight did drain you, some. Waved your little banner a bit harder and got the others to mirror you. Smiled and gave her a thumbs up while she gulped down water before the next trial.

There was a scrimmage next for the people who made the first cut. People who did well in basic flying were split between the teams based on their House and how well they did for the position they looked to take in the Captain’s opinion on the flying test

Emmy obviously ended up on the list with couple of other girls trying out for Chaser in Thunderbird and the small kid working for Seeker. Got matched against the players for Wampus Cat.

Appropriate, you suppose, given you did have to fight one of those recently.

And there was a tiny girl with dark, curly hair getting ready on the pitch; your new student, Maria. Seemingly a contender going for Beater that their Captain had picked from the prior trial; if she couldn’t cut it, another person would get a shot in a following game. Unless you were amazing, filtering the wheat from the chaff could be difficult, however Quidditch matches had gone on for weeks before so you supposed the people playing knew to expect something like that.

In theory, even someone at the bottom of the pack in flying or not the greatest at the game could still make it in. A Keeper or Beater didn’t need to be the fastest person on the field after all.

Regardless, a quick, timed match began; if no one could catch the Snitch in 30 minutes, the match would conclude.

When you twin took off… it was like a bolt of lightning compared to the others.

It… it just made you toss out a million Galleon smile, one made better by Aubrey clapping and shouting that quite a few players were using brooms with her old boyfriend… lover? Her old companion’s shop name on tiny pieces of brass on the front.

Emmy had snatched up the Quaffle and was doing rolls and flips to evade the other team’s players; scored the first goal within 30 seconds of the match starting. After that, the opposing players began targeting her… but they just couldn’t do anything. She dodged around the other Chasers, tossed the ball where no one was but had one of her team mates appeared out of no where to grab it and score a goal.

At one point, a Bludger on course to knock her head off missed by inches because you little twin cut the flight enchantment, performed something that made Aubrey scream out in glee which you were helpfully informed was called Pugachev's Cobra then zipped under and beside the Wampus Cat Keeper to perform the equivalent of a Quidditch slam-dunk.

You suppose she would know a snake-based skill as the other Parslemouth in your family, even if there were murmurs of how that technique was pro level stuff and still rare due to how hard it was to use in a match.

Awesome.

Later?

She bullied, harassed the opposing boy heading towards her side of the field with the small girl who was Macy’s roommate of all people helping out by smashing Bludgers toward him as they came despite being tiny. Got the tip of her Firebolt under the other person’s broom and pulled up. Almost ripped him off and did rip the ball from his hands which the small Japanese girl batted toward you sister; a Bludger headed towards Emmy and only managed to hit the boy as she darted away and he worked to stay on his broom.

Emmy? You knew she took after mom more and your petite mother could have gone professional if not falling for her husband, wanting to be a wife and mother.

But?

You had never seen your twin play like this. You cheered loudly at every goal scored, even as you felt a slight magical drain despite not using your wand or having Jenny chime in.

It was odd but you didn’t question it as Emmy tossed a magic ball through hoops, passed to players she couldn’t even see, threw the ball to bounce it off the post of one hoop only to have it distract the girl playing Keeper, bounce back and let your sister chuck it through a now undefended central circle. Had her knock away the opposing Seeker at the end as a dark-haired Thunderbird boy raced after the Golden Snitch. Let the small kid catch it and conclude the game.

At the end… It wasn’t even close.

Emmy had scored more points just by herself than the entire other team; almost all the non-Snitch points for Thunderbird were hers. It was… you didn’t like the game.

Only went if Emmy was on the pitch.

This wasn’t even a real match since there was a time limit, just a test of the skill of the boys and girls hoping to take empty spots left by the students that graduated.

Impress the Captains of their respective House teams which you were certain a girl with straw colored hair and a baseball cap attached with a Sticking Charm had done.

But as silly as the game was?

Maybe you would take up flying practice some.

You wished mom had been here to see he younger daughter show people how to really fly.

It would be a little before the next set of tryouts began but you were pretty sure Emmy wouldn’t be involved in the second-string ones after Pukwudgie and Horned Snake competed in a moment. So, you headed down to the rest area with your cable of witches while Vu stayed since another scrimmage would start soon; he stayed with Anna to watch since it had both their houses in it. Also, all the jelly-beans and the cute lycanthrope, you suppose.

When you got there, you found a slightly sweaty version of you hugging and patting the head of the boy who caught the Snitch while he was blushing terribly.

We are getting the Cup for Thunderbird this year for sure!”, while picking up the tiny boy some; he could not be more than a second year, going into his third you suppose, if he was allowed to try out. Was cute even if a bit flustered, had a bruise on the left side of his lightly freckled face. Suppose a Bludger clipped him that you didn’t see since you were focused on Emmy-

“He got hit. Not by a dumb ball. Tonight, her is going to get more of the same by some boys he beat out and a bitch leading them. He is going to give up the Seeker position he gets offered because of it. 

What? I thought you were still hurt, couldn’t look ahead-

Jenn and Emmy can be huge bitches but have a thing for protecting those younger than themselves, ones who have been harmed and can’t fight back!

Can you find someone to send a Patronus to Carl; his sister, maybe as well? Run out to stands if not? Have them come back, get them in? I want to check that “Bludger injury” before the Thunderbird Captain comes down here and tells my twin and this cute boy they both made it on the team and Carlous is the closest thing I have to a medic or Healer.”

“Umm… I don’t… I’m not sure, Miss other Emily-“

“My name is Jennifer. You can use Jenn, and Emmy, Timmy. And, I promise I am not going to hurt you. None of my sisters or friends are. Please? We are going to get a cool rag on that completely Quidditch related bruise; get you some cold water, maybe a Wiggenweld from my tinier little sis. Thank you for how you basically won that match for our House-“, and you got interrupted by Emmy as she stood behind the boy and patted his head like a pet.

Fuck. You and Emmy were more similar than you might even guess… suppose she would be collecting young boys now. And that sounded kind of bad in your head when though out loud but whatever. Not like you were better. Not like she would ever touch someone like this boy; she was… Emily was probably a better person than you… no.

And so, you and two other girls lead the little boy into a small room with a bench and a couple of lockers… okay this was sounding really bad now.

Emmy got him some water from her little bag. Gave him most of it before using the rest and making the boy lay on her thighs while on a bench. Brough out a cooling Charm on the now damp rag she conjured up. Held it against his cheek; told him he would get a Wiggenweld and some basic healing once your aspirant Healer looked at him.

Had Macy be the smart one like always and asked if he was hurting anywhere else.

Had you been the cunning one when he said no but still touched his side, and shifted a little on the other.

General Jenn Activated! People just listen to you in bad situations and you share your Brave trait with those under your ‘command’!

“I…I don’t want you to see them. They don’t hurt, not much. I’ll be alright and I don’t want to get in trouble… the girl from the orphanage I take care of is here now. I don’t want her to worry, have anyone do something to her just because I didn’t lose like I was supposed to. I can maybe just ask if I can go on the second string-“, Timothy sputters out, a deep sadness in his voice despite the fact he was following commands and sitting.

“Lose like you were supposed to? Oh. Ohhh… hahaha, I see; your new biggest sister was an inch away from the House of the Cunning at Hogwarts. I get it now. And will deal with it. But? Timmy? You need to listen to your sisters. She won’t get in trouble. You won’t. You and her are safe. I can assure you of that. Alright?”

And he just nodded some; began to take his upper clothes off while the door opened and then shut with a concerned looking Carl, his sister, and Aubrey entering. It was getting a bit crowded but that wasn’t something you gave a shit about when you saw a couple of large and nasty looking bruises on the kid’s back and another on his right side.

“Mein G- nein, Carlous, not now; boy? Turn around some for juzt a moment; I am needing to touch some. I zorry; it may sting.”, the tall German boy said while his long-haired sister went from sleepy looking to furious in less than a second and pulled… was that a staff?

Yeah, it was.

She pulled a dark battle staff nearly as tall as her out of an expanding pouch at her side with a nasty looking iron… no.

Not iron.

Iron didn’t shine like that; its end had a cover of goblin silver that ran up maybe a 1/5th the way up.

Give me fucking names right now, Timothy.”, your little sis spat out while Carl set the fracture with a quick spell before trying to pull out a Wiggenweld before you stopped him and let Macy hand him one of her own and a small bottle like she had given Travis that she half drained herself since the boy was small. Carlous could be the doctor but MayMay was the pharmacist.

“Frau Yeen, Emily, Hilda. Please calm down. The boy is scared.”, and Carl hands off the light green brew before smelling the clear liquid in the other tiny vial. “Essence of Poppy? Pain Killing potion? Frau Macy… you should not have zhis; you should not even be able to brew it!”

“Ich bin gut in Zaubertränken. Ich liebe sie. Und meine Schwestern geraten immer wieder in gefährliche Situationen. Außerdem wird es helfen. Herr Tim hat gerade ein Spiel gespielt und ist mit diesen Verletzungen gerannt. Er sagt, sie tun nicht weh, aber ich weiß, dass sie es tun. Bitte sagen Sie den Professoren nicht, dass ich die habe, ich habe nur ein paar genommen.”

And neither you or Emmy who was looking like she was going to detonate any minute understood any of that, but it seemed like they came to an accord since he handed off the tiny bottle to Timmy, before retrieving a staff that looked much like is sister’s own from the large pouch at his hip.

“Kleiner Junge? We will sort them out. I will. Just tell us zhe names; we will protect zhat girl.”

“I-I don’t-“, and the kid was so tensed up he was all but shaking. You went down to eye level. Raised his chin up gently so your eyes met his white Emmy stroked his hair as she sat next to him.
