Last time on Cutémon, you and Ramster started your search for an ancient human with Psykid pretending not to follow. On the way to the ancient tower you found the human town Nickelneck being robbed by a gang of pirates and their mons! You and Ramster agreed to help with the pirate problem and stowed away to find their secret hideout, but you didn't know getting there meant getting gulped by a Gigapanga! Inside their underwater hideout, it turned out there were alien-type mons hiding in the hallways between the caves and the ancient tower and Professor Ginger waiting to work with them!

You and your mon friends tried to attack Professor Ginger but she surprised everyone by having use mon abilities of her own and you almost got hit with Dissolution before you were teleported to the ancient human you were looking for, but he had already been dead for a long time before you talked to him! When you found a balcony, your friends Auroara, Aura, and Prima arrived and when Professor Ginger tricked Auroara into using her Takeover skill, Professor Ginger somehow learned how to use her mon skills even more quickly! Everyone thought it was all over, but then Psykid appeared and pushed Professor Ginger over the balcony railing!

When you got back to Nickelneck you found a boat waiting to take you toward Joe and your other friends in Tinville. You also found Donaldo and Ourobros taking the same boat toward New Ore to meet with Diamond, Raul, and Professor Emmer about auctioning off Ward! Even though you and Psykid and Ramster helped Ward escape, Auroara and the Auraprimas were knocked out by sleep bombs and Ward just left without helping anyone! When you made it to Junior Professor Marigold's home in Tinville, you and Joe came up with a plan to enter a tournament in the New Ore Arena as Joe's fighting Cutémon while Psykid used her Evade ability to sneak in and rescue your other friends, and your old friend Booker told you about the third special Cutémon ability called Makeover! The night before the tournament, you went to cool off and Ward got into a fight with Joe before you all got into a fight with the Traders and their mons! After Ekro beat up Professor Emmer's Volloogi with a triple spike of his own, Ekro learned a weird ability called Time Echo but then things went from bad to worse when Professor Plumtree showed up and teamed up with Diamond! Just as you were about to lose, their deal fell apart right before the police showed up with the Mayor of Tinville and his Racclone and arrested them both!

Your first fight of the tournament was Donaldo's mind-controlled Auraprima, but the final fight was backstage with Diamond's three mons Auroara, Rattletrap, and Psykowt, until Ramster stole the spotlight with JP's anti-hypno flashlight and you all escaped from New Ore! With word of a Sailater sighting, everyone was on the hunt, and after a Frigeon chase you were captured for Sailater bait!

When you look around the clearing you see the human man peeking out of the bushes at you with Frigeon and Flamole peeking next to him! It seems like they're all waiting to see Sailater!

Maybe you can convince the human man to let you go!

"Please let me go!"

He looks around and then looks at you again and says "I don't care if you can sing and dance. I want that Sailater!" It seems like the human man isn't going to help you!

You lean down and try to chew on the rope but it's really tough! It doesn't seem like you'll be able to chew it up very quickly! You pull on the rope again as hard as you can but the stake doesn't move at all! You look at the rope and then you look at the stake and stand up and try to pull the rope up the stake but it seems like the stake is wider at the top and you can't pull the rope up any higher!

[SFX: loud roaring]

The roaring is getting closer! You had better do something right away! You pull on the rope again but even though you pull as hard as you can you still can't get loose!

What? You want me to help you? Well, what do you have in your jacket pocket?

You reach into your jacket pocket and feel your Travel Map!

...

Your travel map won't work because you don't know where you are! You put your travel map back in your pocket and feel around some more and then you find your Car Key for your car parked in the Rust City Arena!

...Well, maybe you can cut the rope with your car key! You rub the edge of your car key back and forth against the rope as hard as you can but it doesn't do very much!

[SFX: silence]

Suddenly you notice that you can't hear the roaring anymore! Do you think Sailater went away?

You stand back up and look over your shoulders and see something huge blocking out the sunlight. It seems like Sailater is here after all! Do you think he remembers you?

"Hi, Sailater!"

[SFX: loud purring]

That doesn't sound anything like Sailater!

When you squint you see it's really an enormous mon that looks like a giant Cattotutayl!

The Cattotustori crouches down and shakes both his tails and then he roars and jumps into the air to pounce on you!

Cattotustori attacks with Jaws!

Cutémon dodges out of the way!


The Cattotustori dives toward you with his mouth open but you dive out of the way onto the ground and Cattotustori's mouth snaps shut where you were standing! Cattotustori stands up and looks down and then he notices you and lunges at you again!

[SFX: crack]

You jump backward out of the way and land on the ground and when Cattotustori tries to bite you his shoulder knocks into the stake and snaps it in half! You start to scoot backward away from the broken stake but then Cattotustori steps on the rope tied to your ankle and then looks down at you and roars and bats at you with his paw!


Cattotustori attacks with Slap!

It really hurts!


Cattotustori slaps you so hard that you get knocked through the air and when you land you slide to a stop in the dirt and a cloud of dust rolls over you! As soon as the dust clears you see Cattotustori charging at you from across the clearing!

You push yourself up and stand up and then run toward Cattotustori and jump at him and land in front of him and then roll to the side just as Cattotustori looks down at you!


Cutémon is using Trip!


You stick out your foot and Cattotustori stumbles and falls and when he lands the ground shakes because he's so big!


Cutémon attacks with Overbite!


Just as Cattotustori starts to stand back up you jump on top of him and grab his fur with both hands and then your outer fangs stretch out and get bigger and you poke Cattotustori in the back as hard as you can! Cattotustori yowls and jumps around but you hold on as tightly as you can!

"What a fighter! Maybe I should replace one of you with that Cutémon!"

Flamole looks at the human man and says "Flay-mole!"

Frigeon looks at the human man and says "Frigooo!"

Cattotustori jumps up in the air again and you have to let go and you land on the ground but Cattotustori lands in the bushes where the human man and Flamole and Frigeon are hiding!

The human man can't believe it! He takes a step back away from the bushes and Flamole and Frigeon burst out of the bushes and then they all look up at Cattotustori and the human man takes another step backward.

Cattotustori looks at you and then he looks at Flamole and Frigeon again. It seems like Cattotustori is thinking about who he'd rather fight!

You turn around and start to tip-toe away but then Cattotustori turns his head and looks at you and roars and starts charging toward you!

Look out!


Cattotustori attacks with Slap!

It really hurts!


Cattotustori hits you with one of his paws and you fall down and roll onto the ground and jump out of the way just in time as Cattotustori tries to bite you and then you stand up and run the other way! Even though you're running as quickly as you can when you look over your shoulder you see Cattotustori almost about to get you! Suddenly Cattotustori's eyes get bigger and he gets a strange expression on his face and then he skids to a stop and watches you as you run away from him into the woods!

It seems like Cattotustori might be to tired to follow you! When you look around you don't see anything except trees but then you slip and fall down a slippery hill and land in the mud!

When you push yourself up and stand up and look around you can't see anything except the hills and trees around you and then you-

"Lottatax!"

What? Lottatax is here? You can't help smiling but then you see Lottatax looking up at you from the mud and you realize that's not the Lottatax you know!

[SFX: bubbles popping]

Another bubble in the mud swells up and pops and another Lottatax looks out at you and says "Lottatax!" and then you hear more bubbles popping all around you!

"Lottatax!"

"Lottatax!"

"Lottatax!"

Suddenly you're surrounded by Lottatax! You had better do something right away!

You take a step back and look around at the pack of Lottatax and give them your cutest look!

"I'm friends with a Lottatax!"

The Lottatax look at each other and then they look at you and start walking closer! They look really hungry!

One of the Lottatax tries to bite your foot but you jump over it and run away through the mud and then when you get to the trees you can see the ocean ahead of you!

"Lottatax!"

"Lottatax!"

"Lottatax!"

You run through the trees as quickly as you can and then you run out of the woods onto the beach but the pack of Lottatax is still chasing you! When you take a step back your shoe fills up with water and the Lottatax all swarm onto the beach around you and you can't help taking another step back!

[SFX: waves]

Suddenly the water splashes past you onto the beach and the Lottatax all back up further onto the sand! It seems like they don't want to get in the water! Do you think it's because they don't know how to swim either?

One of the Lottatax says "Lottatax!" and takes another step into the water! It seems like they might not be afraid of the water after all!

You take another step backward but then you can't feel anything under your feet!

One of the Lottatax crouches down in the shallow water and then jumps at you and you can't help taking a step backward and you sink underwater! The Lottatax splashes next to you and says "Lottatax!" and then you can't hear anything because you're underwater! When you pop back up above the water another Lottatax jumps at you and splashes next to you and then when you try to turn around to look at it you sink underwater again!

You can't breathe!

Even though you kick your legs and wave your arms you can't get back to the surface and then all of a sudden you feel solid ground under your feet and you push yourself upward and pop back up above the water and start coughing and when you open your eyes all the Lottatax are paddling toward you!

"Lottatax!"

"Lottatax!"

"Lottatax!"

You can't help crying out!

One of the Lottatax says "Lottat-" but then it looks above you and then you feel a big wave push everyone forward and then a huge mon that looks like an enormous crocodile with a shark fin pops out of the water!

[SFX: loud roaring]

It's Sailater! All the Lottatax say "Lottatax!" at the same time and start paddling toward the shore as hard as they can and then you sink back underwater!

You kick your feet but you keep sinking and then suddenly you feel something underneath you carrying you back to the surface and then you pop out of the water with Sailater floating under you and then you start coughing again! All the Lottatax scurry up onto the beach and then Sailater swims toward the beach and all the Lottatax scurry away and hide as Sailater walks up onto the beach. He crouches down and lets you slide off of him and you sit on the ground and start coughing again.

Sailater is still watching you! It seems like he's worried about you!

One of the Lottatax peeks out and Sailater glances at it and the Lottatax hides again and then Sailater looks at you and you grin up at him.

"Thanks, Sailater!"

Sailater stands up and turns one way and then turns the other way and you have to crouch down so his tail doesn't hit you and then Sailater turns the other way and starts walking.

What? You think Sailater is going the opposite way that you came from? You had better tell him right away!

"Sailater!"

Sailater stops and tilts his head and looks back at you and you point back the other way.

"All our friends are that way!"

Sailater looks at you for a moment and then he starts walking forward again! It seems like Sailater doesn't want to go back with you!

When you look back the other way you see some of the Lottatax peeking out at you and then you look at Sailater again and when you look at Sailater again he's already walking into the trees!

You give Sailater's tail a determined look!

"You're Joe's mon!"

"Lottatax!"

One of the Lottatax is peeking at you! The Lottatax sticks its head out and looks around and then looks at you and says "Lottatax!" and scurries toward you and then all the other Lottatax scurry out of their hiding spots toward you!

"Lottatax!"

"Lottatax!"

"Frigooo!"

What? Frigeon is here? You look up and see Frigeon fly overhead and then you turn around and run toward Sailater with all the Lottatax chasing you!

"Lottatax!"

"Lottatax!"

"Lottatax!"

The Lottatax are gaining on you! One of them jumps at you and flies past you and sticks to the side of a tree and tries to bite you as you run past it but then you see Sailater ahead of you!

Sailater glances back and all the Lottatax scurry away and then they peek out at you. It seems like you're safe as long as you're near Sailater! You and Sailater walk through the forest for a little while.

What? You just remembered Frigeon? You look around behind you but you don't see that human man. Do you think you and Sailater got away from them? You keep looking back as you walk and then all of a sudden you bump into Sailater! When you look around you see you're on a beach again and then you notice Sailater is crouching down and looking at you.

It seems like Sailater is waiting for you to climb onto him! When you look out at the ocean you can't see anything but water.

"Are we going that way?"

Sailater nods and then you look behind you again. Are you thinking about Joe?

You are? Well, it seems like Sailater thinks this is pretty important, whatever it is! Do you still want to go with Sailater?

You look at Sailater and then climb onto his back and then you grin at him.

"Let's go!"

Sailater walks into the water and then he starts swimming as fast as the motorboat you rode in! You didn't know Sailater was so fast! After a little while you can't see the beach anymore and when you look around all you can see is water everywhere. Sailater keeps swimming and after a while you look off to one side but all you see is the ocean. It seems like you're in the middle of the ocean!

What? You think you can see a mountain in the distance on the other side? Sailater keeps swimming forward and-

[SFX: stomach growling]

It seems like you're pretty hungry! Well, you haven't eaten all day! Have you been daydreaming about what you want to eat?

You're nodding your head! Well, what do you want to eat?

"Sandwiches and crackers and candy bars!"

You didn't mean to say that out loud, but it doesn't look like you'll be able to find any food in the middle of the ocean!

What? You just noticed Sailater is changing direction? Sailater swims toward the mountain and when you get closer you can see a human city at the base of the mountain!

What? You just remembered you're not wearing a hat?

When you get closer you can see some boats but then you have to put your hand in front of you because the sun is going behind the mountain!

What? You just realized one of the boats is floating toward you and Sailater?

Look out!

You climb down Sailater until you're in the water and then you peek over Sailater as the boat floats by and see some humans looking over the railing at Sailater.

"Look! A Sailater!"

"I wish I had a camera!"

The boat floats past Sailater and Sailater keeps swimming toward the shore near the city and walks up onto the beach and-

[SFX: loud explosions]

Suddenly you and Sailater see a bunch of loud explosions in the sky!

[SFX: growling]

Sailater doesn't like it!

You climb off of Sailater and you both look around and then you hear something popping and you see a bunch of tiny explosions in the sky!

It looks like it's just fireworks!

[SFX: growling]

Sailater still doesn't like it!

[SFX: rumbling]

You're even more hungry now! You look up at Sailater.

"Wait here, Sailater!"

Sailater looks at the sky and walks in a circle and lies down on the beach and puts his chin down on the sand and then you crouch down in the shadows and slowly walk toward the city. When you get closer you can see a lot of shops and market stalls around the docks.

What? You're thinking about trying to steal a hat? Well, even though it's not nice to steal things, it really would be helpful if you had a hat so you could pretend to be a human girl, wouldn't it?

You crouch down behind one of the market stalls and when you peek around the corner and see a hat stand on the other side of the path with a bunch of pointy hats! You look around again and then you run across the path and crouch down behind the corner of the hat stand and peek over the edge of the counter at the human man behind the counter but he's looking the other way!

Are you really going to steal a hat?

You reach up and grab one of the pointy hats!

As soon as you grab the hat you crouch back down and put the hat on your head and then you tip-toe around the back of the hat stand and further into the city. It seems like you didn't get caught!

What? You just realized you can find out where you are? You look around and see a human man near the shadows and then you look up at him.

"Excuse me!"

"Hmm?" The human man looks down at you. "You lost, kid?"

You take your travel map out of your jacket pocket and look up at the human man.

"Where are we?"

The human man squints and points at a spot on the map. "Don't you know anything? Pewter Point is right here." He looks at you and says "It's where everyone comes to trade with Zinca."

What? The human man is pointing at another spot on the map? You don't know anything about that part of the world but it sounds important! Maybe you should-

"Look out! It's a Sailater!"

A bunch of humans run past you and then you see Sailater walking toward a food stand with a bunch of roasted meat! The human man behind the counter looks really nervous!

You run past the humans and look up at Sailater!

"You can't eat that, Sailater!"

Sailater glances down at you and then he looks at all the roasted meat and the human man behind the counter can't help taking a step backward!

You give Sailater a determined look!

"We don't have any money!"

"Is that really your Sailater, kid?"

What? One of the humans is talking to you? When you look over your shoulder you see a crowd of humans all looking at you and Sailater! You turn around and face the humans and then glance up at Sailater and nod your head.

"I'm a mon trainer!"

Another human man holds up a camera and says "Hey kid, can I take a picture of you with that Sailater?"

What? The human man wants to take your picture with Sailater? Well, what are you going to do?

You look up at the human man and hold out your hand!

"How much?"

"Oh, uh..." He reaches into his pocket and takes out some coins and holds them out toward you. "How about five coins?"

"Hey, kid, I'll give you five coins if you pose with that Sailater!" When you look the other way you see some other humans holding out coins toward you!

You give the humans your cutest look!

[SFX: cameras clicking]

It seems like you'll be able to pay for the food after all! You give the human man behind the counter a pile of coins and then he looks up at Sailater.


Sailater attacks with Jaws!


Sailater eats the table and the meat all in one bite!

[SFX: loud explosions]

Suddenly a bunch of fireworks explode in the sky!

[SFX: growling]

Sailater doesn't like it! He looks around and then he starts walking back toward the beach.

What? You're thinking about buying some food for later? That's a good idea! Well, you still have some coins from all those pictures the humans took of you and Sailater. What were you thinking of buying?

"Sandwiches!"

"Still hungry?" The human man looks up from his pile of coins and points at another human man behind a counter. "They sell sandwiches over there."

"Thanks!"

When you walk to the other stand the other human man looks at you and smiles. "There are lots of Sailaters in Zinca, but you don't usually see them anywhere else." You give the human man some coins and the human gives you a bag full of sandwiches and then Trent steps up to the counter next to you.

What? Trent is here? You glance up at Trent and Trent glances at you as you walk past him and you look the other way as quickly as you can and keep walking away!

It seems like he didn't recognize you because of your new hat! You keep walking and then you walk past the hat stand toward the beach.

What? You're thinking about how you stole your new hat?

Are you really going to go back even though you just saw Trent?

What? You're not walking toward the hat stand? Is it because you're scared that you might get in trouble?

You're nodding your head! Well, do you still want to pay for the hat?

You give the hat stand a determined look and then you walk up to the counter and try to peek out from under the hat at the human man but you can't look at him!

"How much?"

When you peek up, the human man is looking down at you! "One coin."

What a deal! You take out a coin and put it on the counter but then suddenly the human man puts his hand over your hand!

You're so scared you almost cry out but then the human man pushes the coin back into your hand and says "You can pay for it later." When you look up at the human man he's nodding his head at you! "Outsiders like you and I aren't allowed past this city. If you're taking that Sailater into Zinca, make sure you only travel at night. And whatever you do, stay away from the Imperial City."

You don't know what that is!

"Imperial City?"

The human man takes out a Travel Map and points at a spot on the map. "The Imperial City of Zinca. That's the last place an outsider wants to be."

When you look up from the map you see Trent walking up the path! You crouch down behind the counter and the human man looks around and then sees Trent and shouts "Hey! Are you looking for that girl?"

What? The human man is helping Trent find you? He points across the path and says "She went that way!" It seems like the human man is helping you after all!

You peek over the counter and the human man glances at you and shoos you away and you turn around and run back toward the beach and see a crowd of humans taking pictures of Sailater. It seems like he's really popular!

One of the humans notices you and says "Hey, it's that mon trainer!"

All the humans are looking at you! What are you going to say to them?

"Goodbye!"

You climb onto Sailater and he walks into the water and swims back out past the boats and you reach into the bag and grab a sandwich and eat it.

...

All of a sudden it's daytime! It seems like you fell asleep while you were riding on Sailater! You open your eyes and lift your head up and look around and see a beach ahead of you and then Sailater swims along the beach and then you see some rocky cliffs and Sailater keeps swimming until he gets to shallow water. It seems like Sailater knows where he wants to go! Sailater walks up onto the beach and crouches down and you climb down onto the sand next to him and then Sailater starts walking up the beach.

What? You just remembered the human man said you should only travel at night?

"Sailater, wait!"

Sailater glances back at you and keeps walking!

"Sailater, wait!"

Sailater doesn't even look back at you!

You run up the beach after Sailater and when you get next to him you look up at him and give him your cutest look!

"Sailater, wait until it gets dark!"

[SFX: growling]

What? Sailater is growling at you? It seems like Sailater is really cranky! It's probably because he's tired from swimming so much!

"Sailater?"

When Sailater looks at you he sees you holding up one of the sandwiches and then he sniffs and stops walking! You did it!

You toss one of the sandwiches into Sailater's mouth and Sailater eats it in one bite and then he starts walking again.

What? Sailater is still walking? Maybe you should give him another sandwich! You run after Sailater and hold up another sandwich but then he stops and opens his mouth and you have to take a step backward because Sailater really wants the sandwich! You toss the sandwich into Sailater's mouth and he eats it in one bite and then he looks down at you and you reach into the bag as quickly as you can and take out another sandwich and toss it into his mouth and then Sailater swallows it and looks down at you again.

You reach into the bag and grab another sandwich and toss it into Sailater's mouth and-

[SFX: loud roaring]

You and Sailater both turn your heads and see another Sailater standing in the trees at the edge of the beach looking at you and Sailater!

What? You think the other Sailater is just as big as the Sailater you know? I think you're right! Do you think the other Sailater would like a sandwich?

You're nodding your head! You reach into the bag to grab another sandwich but all you can feel is the bottom of the bag! It seems like the bag of sandwiches is empty!

When you look up at the other Sailater he takes a step closer and the entire beach shakes!

[SFX: growling]

Sailater doesn't like it! Sailater puts his head down and then roars as loudly as he can and you have to cover your ears and close your eyes because it's so loud!

The other Sailater walks closer and then he puts his head down and roars and you have to crouch down on the sand and cover your ears and close your eyes because now both Sailaters are roaring! When you open your eyes and blink and look up, both Sailaters are circling around you!

What? You just realized you're between Sailater and the other Sailater?

Sailater leans sideways and then whips his fin around over your head and the shockwave is so big that you get knocked down onto the sand! The shockwave hits the other Sailater but it only pushes him back a little bit!

The other Sailater roars and charges toward you and Sailater and bites Sailater's shoulder!

They both wrestle around and you have to jump out of the way and then Sailater lunges forward and shakes back and forth until he can bite the other Sailater! What? You're still trying to get them to stop fighting? You look up at the other Sailater and then look up at Sailater but when you look at the other Sailater again he's already above you!

The human girl looks down at you and you have to look away and then you make yourself look up at her again but you can't help looking away again! Even though it looks like she's the same age as Joe, she really seems like a grownup, doesn't she? "Did you accompany that Sailater here?"

You nod your head and then you point at Joe and smile.

What? The human girl is smiling? You don't know why but it seems like she thinks that's funny! The human girl looks down at the big cage and then glances at you and says "Are you saying this boy captured that Sailater?"

You're nodding your head!

The human girl glances at Joe in the cage again and says "He must be very brave as well. But that Sailater was not his to capture." The human girl is looking at you! "Do you know who I am?"

What? The human girl is asking if you know her? Do you think she's someone important? Well, it seems like you had better tell the truth!

You're shaking your head!

The human girl sits up all the way and looks down at you and you can't help taking a step backward! "I am the Empress of Zinca."

What? The human girl is saying she's really an empress? Do you think she's telling the truth?

The human girl looks at Sailater and says "And you are a very naughty Sailater for running away." Sailater looks up at the human girl and then he glances away and looks up at her again but he can't help looking away again. It seems like Sailater is nervous! Do you think Sailater might really belong to this human girl?

When you look up at the human girl she's already looking at you! "Now, who are you?"

You reach up to grab your hat and the human men shift their stance but then you take off your hat in front of the Empress and the human men!

"I'm a Cutémon!"

The Empress can't believe it! "You are a mon?"

Sailater and the other Sailater look at you and then look up at the Empress and nod their heads and then the Empress looks at you. "How wonderful!"

All the human men are looking at you but when you notice them looking at you they all look in different directions!

The Empress glances at the other Sailater. "You may go."

The other Sailater just walks up the beach and disappears into the trees! It seems like the other Sailaters really do obey whatever the Empress says!

"I have never seen a mon like you." The Empress is looking at you again! "We do not have human-type mons like you in Zinca."

Is the Empress saying there are other kinds of human-type mons in Zinca?

"Ram-ram!" Ramster waves at Sailater and then walks toward him and looks up at him and says "Ram-ram?"

Sailater looks down at Ramster and nods and then Tamounda glances at the Empress and says "Tamounda!" and trots toward Sailater and looks up at him and says "Tamounda!"

Lottatax scurries out from underneath Tamounda and looks up at Sailater and grins and says "Lottatax!"

"It seems you really do all get along very well with that Sailater." The Empress is smiling again! "Will you accompany me?"

Are you going to go with her?

You're nodding your head!

"Sure!"

Sailater crouches down and you and your mon friends all climb onto his back and the human men pick up the wooden cage and carry it behind you and the Empress.

"Where are we going?"

"The Imperial City. Everyone will be so pleased to see you. That hat is very charming on you. Did it come from Pewter Point? It looks new. Of course, I noticed the bite mark right away." What? You think the Empress is really chatty? It seems like she doesn't get to chat very often!

You and the Empress chat all afternoon and then a human man walks out of the forest and looks up at the Empress. "Your majesty, we've prepared a camp ahead."

Sailater and the other Sailater walk into a clearing and then the human men put the wooden cage on the grass.

What? You just noticed something smells good? It seems like they're already cooking dinner! The Empress kneels down on the grass and then she looks up at you. "Will you eat with me, Cutémon?"

You kneel next to her and a human man hands you a plate of food.

It's delicious!

What? You just remembered Joe hasn't eaten today?

"Will you let Joe out?"

"I am afraid the penalty for trespassing is execution."

Joe and the big human man can't believe it!

The Empress puts her hands on her chin. "Of course..." What? There might be another way? You can't help leaning forward! "Perhaps I will marry Joe."

What? The Empress wants to marry Joe?

"After all, he did capture my Sailater."

When you glance at the Empress she's still looking straight ahead! You can't tell if she's upset but then she says "Leave us." As soon as she says it all the human men walk away and the Empress looks at you. "It is not your place to interfere. Even if he is your trainer."

Suddenly you have to look down at the ground and your heart starts pounding and your eyes feel heavy and all the delicious food in your stomach is making your stomach hurt and you have a strange feeling in your chest. Even though you and Joe have been together for so long, it seems like the Empress really is going to marry Joe!

"But I loved Joe first."

[SFX: laughter]

You can't help your face turning red!


Cutémon is challenging Empress!


You stand up and give the Empress a determined look!

"I'll fight you and your Sailater!"

The Empress can't believe it! She looks up at you and then stands up and gestures at one of the human men and he runs up to the Empress and says "Your majesty?"

"Bring the boy prisoner to me."

"At once." The human man runs over to the big wooden cage and you can see him talking to the other human men and then he opens the cage and lets Joe out of the cage and then the human man leads Joe toward you and the Empress and then the Empress nods at the human man and he glances at you and Joe and then turns and walks away. You can't help smiling at Joe now that he's out of the cage!

After the human man walks away the Empress looks at Joe and says "Your name is Joe?"

"Yes. Um, yes, your majesty."

"This is a very unusual mon. You will tell me how you came to know her."

"Um..." Joe looks at you and then looks at the ground. It seems like he doesn't know where to start! Joe looks at the Empress and then looks at you and reaches into his jacket pocket.

Joe is still looking at you! What? You just remembered Joe has the Cutécaptor in his pocket? It seems like he's asking if it's alright to show the cutécaptor to the Empress!

You nod at Joe and he takes out the cutécaptor and holds it up so the Empress can see it. "Professor Plumtree gave me this. He called it a cutécaptor." Joe keeps talking and tells the Empress all about how he met you and how he used the cutécaptor to capture you so you could learn Overbite and beat up the Vitium. "Ever since we first used it, she's been more..."

"Intuitive?" What? The Empress just called you intuitive? You don't know what that means! Well, Joe is nodding his head anyway! The Empress looks at the cutécaptor again and says "Professor Plumtree is not unknown to me. He was suspected of trespassing into the Forbidden Land."

You and Joe glance at each other and then Joe looks at the Empress. "Forbidden Land?"

"It is a graveyard of the ancient humans."

The human man glances at Joe again and then he nods at the Empress and walks toward the campfire and brings a plate of food back to Joe and then the Empress smiles at the human man and says "I have decided that I will marry Joe."

[SFX: coughing]

Joe chokes on his food and then the human man takes a step forward and clears his throat and looks down at the Empress and then he looks at Joe and looks at the Empress again. "Your majesty, this isn't the usual arrangement."

"These are unusual times. All we need is a few more human-type mons and the prophecy will be fulfilled." Suddenly the Empress claps her hands and looks at you. "We will reach the Imperial City tomorrow. Is my tent ready?"

"Yes, your majesty." The human man gestures and then the Empress turns and walks away toward a little white tent and then the human man looks at you and Joe and walks away back toward the fire.

"Sounds like you already met that guy in the cage." When you look up at Joe he glances at the big wooden cage and then looks at you and says "His name is Clyde. I guess he's Starr's brother."

What? The big human man is Starr's brother? You don't know what to think because you and Starr are friends!

"Oh, that reminds me." Joe smiles and says "The guards took my backpack, but we found Katie's hat."


Cutémon attacks before Joe was ready!


You hug Joe before he knows what you're doing!

The next day you and your friends all ride on Sailater and follow the Empress and the other Sailater through the forest and then after a while Joe looks at the Empress on the other Sailater. "Um, your majesty? What did you mean last night? You said something about a prophecy and some human-type mons."

The Empress nods and says "There is a mon that exists only in Zinca. Its name is Cluclu. It is an enlightened-type mon. One may only ever ask the Cluclu a single question." She doesn't say anything for a moment and then she looks at you. "It spoke the name Cutémon." The Empress looks forward and says "But it did not tell me how to deal with this matter."

Sailater and the other Sailater walk out of the trees and you can see a bunch of human buildings and a huge crystal that looks just like the huge crystal in Fort Brass but then you see the alien spaceship floating above the huge crystal and you can't help crying out!

The other Sailater keeps walking into the city and the Empress looks up at the UFO and then looks at you and Joe and says "It arrived two days ago. Each night, the crystal's glow is lessened more and more."

It seems like the alien spaceship might be draining the crystal somehow, doesn't it? Even though you want to stop the alien spaceship it doesn't seem like you can get to it!

What? You think you have an idea?

"A balloon!"

The Empress is shaking her head! "We tried to drive it off when it first appeared. Our aerial vessels were outmatched."

Joe looks up at the UFO and says "Yeah, those things are really tough. And that beam can pull you inside of it." He looks back down at the Imperial City and then looks up at the UFO again. "It looks like it might even be too high for Ekro to reach." Joe glances at Frigeon perched on top of the wooden cage and says "Maybe a Frigeon could reach it."

"You are familiar with those vessels?"

"Come to think of it, so is Sailater." Joe looks down at Sailater and Sailater glances up at Joe. "But Sailater was too heavy to get pulled in by the beam. The rest of us got taken to space."

When you glance at the Empress she's looking at you! It seems like she's thinking about something! You look away and look at her again and then she looks up at the alien spaceship. "Perhaps I am beginning to understand the Cluclu's words." The Empress looks at you and Joe and then looks up at the alien spaceship again. "It is said that the ancient humans built a flying machine that could fly into space."

Joe can't believe it! "A spaceship?"

The Empress nods and says "It is said to roost at the highest point of the Forbidden Land."

It seems like there might really be a human spaceship you can use to fly to the alien spaceship! You and Joe look at each other and then Joe looks at the Empress. "Um, your majesty, is it allowed to enter the Forbidden Land?"

The Empress smiles and says "Mons are free to roam in Zinca, my beloved." What? The Empress just called Joe her beloved? You had better do something right away!

You look at Joe!

"Ready?"

Joe opens his mouth to speak but then the Empress says "Joe will remain with me in the Imperial Palace."

Joe can't believe it!

The Empress climbs down from the other Sailater and touches the other Sailater's head and smiles and then the other Sailater turns around and walks between you and the Empress back into the forest. It seems like that was a Wild Sailater!

You and your friends follow the Empress and Sailater and the human men carrying Clyde inside the wooden cage and then you see a huge building with a big stone wall around it. This must be the Imperial Palace! Sailater follows the Empress through a gate and then two of the human men lead Joe through the gate with Ekro flying around in circles above Joe but when you try to follow Joe some other human men close the gate and Joe walks past the wall and you can't see him anymore!

You run alongside the wall hopping up and down as high as you can but even though you're hopping up and down you still can't see Joe! You can't even see Ekro because the wall is too tall!

"Lottatax!"


Lottatax attacks before Tamounda was ready!

Lottatax attacks with Tongue!


Tamounda looks around and then Lottatax's tongue hits Tamounda's back! Tamounda says "Tamou-" but then he gets reeled up the wall by Lottatax's tongue! Lottatax reels Tamounda all the way up and then Tamounda scrambles and falls over the wall and then Lottatax sticks his tongue out all the way back down to the ground and Ramster grabs it and tugs it and then gets pulled all the way up!

You look up at Lottatax and then he sticks his tongue out at you and it wraps around your waist and then you get pulled off your feet up the side of the wall! When you get to the top you grab the edge and Lottatax reels in his tongue and then you grin at Lottatax!

"Thanks, Lottatax!"

When you peek over the wall you see a bunch of tall hedges on the other side. Tamounda looks up at you and says "Tamounda?" and then you and Ramster and Lottatax jump down and you start walking between the hedges. You keep walking and then you turn a corner and keep walking and then you turn another corner and see a Sailater standing next to a human man in front of a door!

Look out!


Tamounda attacks with Snoot!

Sailater is disgusted!


You can't help taking a step backward but then Tamounda looks up at the Sailater and says "Tamounda!" and sticks out his tongue and licks the Sailater and then the Sailater suddenly starts shuddering! It looks like the Sailater is too disgusted to move! Tamounda looks back at you and says "Tamounda!" and then you grin at Tamounda!

"Thanks, Tamounda!"

The human man can't believe it! He looks at the Sailater and then he takes a step backward! It seems like he's about to run away to tell the other humans you're here!

"Ram-ram." What? Ramster is handing you a Mini Sleep Bomb? You don't know where he got it but you have it now!

"Thanks, Ramster!"

What? You think you saw Joe in the room before they shut the door? The Empress and the old human man walk up the hallway toward you and the old human man says "Now that your Sailater has returned, we must discuss the invaders. Perhaps it is just the one vessel."

"Joe encountered another of their vessels." That sounds like the Empress!

"That boy saw one in person?"

"He rode inside it."

"That boy-?" It sounds like the old human man doesn't believe it! You peek out and see the Empress lean against the wall and...

What? You think the Empress has a strange expression on her face? She tilts her head and mumbles "I see why that Cutémon likes him."

"What was that, your majesty?"

Suddenly the Empress clears her throat and stands up and keeps walking up the hallway and says "That's probably why Sailater chose to come back. He was almost pulled into the other vessel along with Joe. How long until the crystal is drained?"

"At this rate, less than a week."

"Will the force field shield us from the invaders?"

"We believe so, your majesty. It is what protected the ancient humans. However..."

"Without the crystal's energy, we cannot activate the force field." The Empress stops walking for a moment. It seems like she's thinking about something! She stands still for a moment and then she looks up at the old human man. "We will wait three more days. Then the force field will be activated and the Imperial City will be sealed from the outside world."

The old human strokes his beard and says "And the boy?"

The Empress is smiling! "What better time for an imperial wedding?"

You have to slap both your hands over your mouth! Ramster and Tamounda and Lottatax all look up at you and then you peek out and see the Empress and the old human man turn a corner and disappear. You look up and down the hallway but you don't see anyone else! It looks like now's your chance!

You tip-toe across the hallway and open the door and Joe looks up and sees you and smiles and then you shush Joe and whisper!

"Follow us!"

You and Joe and Ramster and Tamounda and Lottatax all run back to the other door and when you peek out you see the human man is still sleeping and the Sailater is still shuddering! Joe looks up at the Sailater as you all run past him and then you keep running through the hedges to the wall and then Lottatax scurries up the wall and sticks out his tongue at Ramster and reels him up to the top of the wall and then Lottatax reels Tamounda up to the top of the wall. Lottatax sticks out his tongue at Joe and Lottatax's tongue wraps around Joe's waist but then Lottatax can't pull Joe up because Joe is too heavy! You crouch down and give Joe a boost and then Lottatax starts to reel Joe up the side of the wall while Joe pushes with his feet and then Joe grabs the edge and pulls himself up and then everyone looks down at you and Lottatax opens his mouth and-

[SFX: loud roaring]

That wasn't Lottatax! You're so surprised you fall over and then you look behind you and see the Empress and Sailater!

"Mons are free to roam in Zinca." The Empress looks at you and says "But they are not free to intrude in the affairs of humans."

What? The Empress is telling you to give up Joe? Well, what are you going to do?

You give the Empress a determined look!

"Joe picked me!"

The Empress can't believe it! "Sailater, engage that Cutémon until Joe is retrieved."

Sailater looks at the Empress and then looks at you and takes a step forward! It seems like Sailater really is going to listen to the Empress! You scoot backward and stand up and then suddenly something big and white jumps down from the top of the wall onto the ground in front of you!

It's Onlion!

Onlion glances back at you and flicks his tail at you and then looks up at Sailater!

[SFX: loud roaring]

Sailater opens his mouth as wide as he can and roars at Onlion and then Onlion crouches down and looks up at Sailater and says "ONNNN-"

Onlion isn't afraid of Sailater at all! It seems like this is your chance to run away!

You take a step backward and look around and shuffle your feet!

Well, what are you waiting for?

What? You just remembered the last time Sailater saw Onlion was when Onlion was still Professor Plumtree's mon?

Sailater flops down on the ground and squeezes his eyes closed! When you look down at Sailater he opens one eye and peeks up at you.

The Empress stomps her foot and says "Sailater!" and then Sailater opens one eye and peeks at the Empress and then squeezes his eyes shut! "But... but Sailaters always do as I ask."

What? You think it seems like the Empress is going to start crying?

When the Empress sees you looking at her she looks away and says "Why won't he do as I ask?"

You look at the Empress for a moment and then you look at Sailater and Sailater opens one eye and peeks at you and then Sailater glances at the Empress and looks at you again.

Do you think you know why Sailater isn't listening to the Empress?

"Because we're friends!"

You grin at the Empress and she kneels down and wipes her eyes and looks away. "The Sailaters are supposed to be MY friends!"

Even though the Empress is trying to hide it, you can tell she's crying! Do you think you should do something?

You walk past Sailater toward the Empress and kneel down next to her and give her a hug and she tries to pull away but then she doesn't move at all.

"They're my only family."

What? The Empress just said the Sailaters are her family?

When you sit up and look at the Empress she nods and looks at the ground. "I never knew my parents. I was raised by Sailaters." The Empress sniffles and says "The people in the Imperial City decided I was the Empress because the Sailaters do as I ask."

You let go of the Empress and she looks at her lap and sniffles again and wipes her eyes. "But Sailaters don't speak very much." When the Empress glances up at you she smiles and then she wipes her eyes again. "I enjoyed our chat."

It seems like the Empress is lonely because she doesn't have any friends to chat with!

You give the Empress a big hug!

"We can be friends and chat!"

"Ram-ram!"

What? Ramster is here? When you look behind you over your shoulder you see Ramster, Tamounda, Lottatax, Joe, and Ekro all sitting on top of the wall looking down at you and then you notice Onlion and Sailater looking at you!

You can't help your cheeks turning red!

Suddenly the Empress stands up and dusts herself off and looks up at Joe and then looks at you. "I may have... that is... I wish you and Joe safe travel."

Sailater walks past Onlion toward you and then stands next to you and looks down at you. It seems like Sailater wants to come with!

You lean forward and look down at the ground!

What? You're bowing to the Empress?

"Please let Sailater come with us!"

When you glance up at the Empress she's smiling! "I have never met such a polite mon." You stand up and smile at the Empress and she says "Mons are free to roam in Zinca," and then she looks up at Sailater and puts her hand on his head. "Will you keep our friends safe?"

Sailater is nodding!

The Empress looks at you and Onlion. "I will escort you to the gate."

You and Onlion and Sailater and the Empress all walk through the hedge paths and then the Empress reaches into her pocket and takes out a glowing blue cylinder and holds it out to you.

It's a condenser! Even though they're really rare, it's not very surprising that the Empress has one!

When you look up at the Empress she nods and says "I can see you know what this is."

You're nodding your head!

"It gives mons energy!"

You walk around the corner of another hedge and then you see Joe and Ramster and Tamounda and Lottatax and Ekro waiting for you outside the gate!

The Empress looks at Joe.

...

What? The Empress is still looking at Joe? It seems like she doesn't know what to say!

The guards walk around the hedge toward the gate and one of them hands Joe his backpack and hands you a really heavy gym bag and then Joe looks at the Empress and smiles. "We'll be back soon."

Joe is looking at you! "Ready?"

You're nodding your head!

You and your friends walk away from the palace and then you keep walking through the darkness until you can't see the lights from the Imperial City anymore and you keep walking through the forest. After a while it starts to get light out and you keep walking and then you can see some mountains ahead of you and...

What? You just realized you're already in the Forbidden Land? Now that the sun is coming up you can see that the mountains are really towers from the ancient humans! Even though you've seen this kind of building before, you've never seen an entire city full of them! When you look up all the way you start to get dizzy and you have to take a step backward and you almost fall over because you can see that the buildings are so high that the clouds are sticking to them!

Ekro flies overhead as you and Joe and Ramster and Tamounda and Lottatax and Onlion and Sailater all keep walking. After the sun comes up all the way Joe stops and says "How about a lunch break?"

You and Joe sit down on the ground and then you open up the gym bag and inside are a bunch of weird foods! You don't know what any of it is!

Ramster holds up one of the weird foods and looks at it. "Ram-ram?"

Tamounda sniffs the weird food and looks at Ramster and says "Tamounda?"

Lottatax licks the weird food and blinks.

Ramster and Tamounda and Ekro are all looking at Lottatax!

Suddenly Lottatax says "Lottatax!" and then he wraps his tongue around the weird food and grabs it away from Ramster and swallows it in one bite and then licks his mouth and says "Lottatax!"

You look into the gym bag and take out one of the weird foods and hold it up to your nose and sniff it.

Even though it looks really weird, it smells really good! Are you really going to take a bite?

You take a tiny bite.

...

It's delicious! You can't help taking another bite right away! Tamounda sticks his nose into the gym bag and Ramster reaches in next to Tamounda and then Ekro flutters down and lands on the gym bag and sticks his head into the gym bag and pulls out one of the weird foods and eats it in one bite!

You're grinning at Ekro!

"How is it, Ekro?"

Ekro looks at you and squawks "Cutémon!" and then he sticks his head in the gym bag again!

"We shouldn't eat too much." Joe licks his fingers and says "I don't know if there's any food around here." Joe grins at Sailater and says "It's a good thing Sailaters only eat every few days."

After everyone eats you all keep walking through the Forbidden Land and then you walk all day but the towers are so big that you're still in the middle of the city!

Joe stops again and looks around. "No trees for firewood."

[SFX: wind blowing]

Now that the sun is going down, it's starting to get colder! You can't help shivering!

"Rrram-ram!"

"T-t-tamounda!"

"Lot-t-tatax!"

Sailater looks around and then he lies down and tucks his legs underneath him and everyone snuggles next to him. Now that everyone is snuggled next to Sailater you're a lot warmer! It seems like this will be a comfortable place to-

What? You think you can hear a weird noise? Suddenly you see a light shining from the air and then you see the light getting closer!

[SFX: growling]

Sailater doesn't like it! Sailater stands up and then the dirt starts blowing around and then you see a broken alien spaceship! It seems like it can't fly very well!

Joe whispers "Everybody hide!" and everyone hides behind Sailater and peeks out and then Sailater looks up at the alien spaceship just as it shines its light on him! After a moment the light shines onto the ground next to Sailater and then the alien spaceship starts floating past Sailater! It seems like the alien spaceship doesn't care about Sailater because he's a Sailater!

Everyone peeks over Sailater again and you see the alien spaceship float around the corner of a tower and everyone crouches back down and Sailater turns his head and looks at everyone.

Ramster peeks out underneath Sailater's chin and then whispers "Ram-ram!"

You peek out under Sailater's chin above Ramster but the alien spaceship is already out of sight and then you look up at Joe.

"We should follow it!"

Joe is nodding his head! "I think we should too." He looks around and then says "Let's hurry before it gets too far ahead of us."

Everyone stands up and runs across the ground toward the edge of the tower and then you all look around and Tamounda says "Tamounda!" and everyone looks at where Tamounda is looking just as the alien spaceship floats around the corner of another tower! Tamounda says "Tamounda!" and trots across the ground toward the edge of the tower as quickly as he can and everyone else has to run to catch up with him and then you all see the alien spaceship float past the edge of a huge pile of junk!

[SFX: growling]

Sailater doesn't like it! Sailater growls and charges after the alien spaceship and then Joe says "Sailater, wait!" but Sailater is already charging around the corner of the huge pile of junk! You and Joe glance at each other and then-

[SFX: roaring]

That sounds like Sailater! Everyone starts running toward the big pile of junk and then you all run around the corner of it and see an opening and when you run through it you see Sailater on the other side!

Sailater is just looking around! When you look around and then look up you can't see anything except the huge pile of junk all around you!

Joe runs through the opening in the big pile of junk and then stops and looks around and then you all hear a weird noise and then the alien spaceship floats up out from behind the huge pile of junk and floats in front of the opening!

What? You just realized you're trapped in a dead-end?

[SFX: slithering noise]

When you look up again you see a bunch of alien-type mons slithering over the top of the junk and glaring down at you!

Lottatax looks up at the alien spaceship and says "Lottatax!" and then everyone looks at the alien spaceship as its spotlight turns green and sweeps across the ground toward you and the ground explodes in chunks as the light sweeps over it!

Look out!


UFO attacks with Zone!

It really hurts Cutémon!

It really hurts Ramster!

It really hurts Tamounda!

It really hurts Lottatax!

It really hurts Ekro!

It really hurts Sailater!


[SFX: rumbling]

Suddenly the ground breaks open underneath Sailater and he falls down into a big basement and when the dust clears you see a bunch of alien-type mons slither out of the shadows and surround Sailater!

The confined space will hopefully limit their numbers advantage, and while the aliens above ground are surely an ambush, the one below ground not necessarily so.
Besides, surely there is a reason for the aliens already being underground?

You jump down into the basement and land on Sailater and slide off him onto the floor and then you shift your stance and give the alien-type mons a determined look but then Sailater leans over and swings his fin around!

A huge wave of air knocks you over onto the ground and when the wave of air hits the far wall of the basement it dents the walls but when you push yourself off the ground and look up you see the alien-type mons slithering back toward you and Sailater!

They're too small and squishy for Sailater to hit with his Fin Slice!

What? You just noticed one of the alien-type mons is starting to shimmer like a rainbow? It's trying to hypnotize Sailater!

You jump on top of the alien-type mon and make your outer fangs stick out and then you lunge your head down and as soon as you poke it with your outer fangs it stops shimmering!

That was a good idea!

Sailater doesn't like it!


Sailater is using Rainstorm!


Suddenly it starts raining so hard that you have to squint and then lightning starts striking all around Sailater! You had better get out of the way!

Sailater is roaring but you can't hear him because it's raining so hard!

Lightning strikes the alien-type mons and they all glare up at him and you slosh backward through the water and...

What? You just realized the water is already up to your knees? The basement is filling up with water because it's raining so hard!


Sailater is using Rainstorm!


You try to shout at Sailater but then the water goes over your head and lifts you off the floor and you kick your legs around but you can't touch anything and then you feel yourself getting pulled across the basement! When you look around you see you're getting pulled toward a hole in the floor and then the water starts to move faster and you try to grab the floor but the current is too strong and you get pulled down through the hole!

You can't see anything but then you realize you're sliding down a tunnel and when you open your eyes you see a point of light ahead of you and then all of a sudden the point of light gets really big and you fall out of the tunnel!

[SFX: splash]

As soon as you hit the water the stream from the tunnel hits your head and pushes you under and you start to sink but then you kick your feet until you feel the ground underneath you and you realize you can stand up because the water isn't very deep! You bob up and down and kick the ground under you until you get to a shallow spot and then you stand up and look around and see that you're inside a huge cave with lots of glowing crystals everywhere.

It looks a lot like the caves near Kroma-La, doesn't it?

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

You didn't mean to say that so loudly but it seems like this cave makes a lot of echoes!

[SFX: rumbling]

What? The cave is shaking? Is it because you were so loud you made it collapse? You look up at the crystals sticking out of the cave ceiling and then you look at the huge black shape on the other side of the water and then you look at the stream pouring out of the hole in the cave wall as it stops pouring out and then you...

What? You just noticed the huge black shape is moving? You look up and see it rising up higher and higher into the air and then it opens its eyes and glares at you!

It's an alien-type mountain!

The alien-type mountain starts slithering forward and all the glowing crystals in its way break apart and go flying out into the water ahead of it!

You jump out of the way just as the enormous tentacle swings down and smashes a huge crystal and then you climb onto the top of the crystal stump and grab onto the enormous tentacle as it's rising back up off the ground! The enormous tentacle curls upward toward the cave ceiling and you let go and fall through the air and land further up the tentacle and then you run all the way up the tentacle and jump at the alien-type mountain's head before it can grab you!

What? You actually hurt the alien-type mountain? Maybe you really can beat it-

Suddenly you feel yourself pulled away from the surface of the alien-type mountain and into the air and then you look down and see the ground far below you but then you realize that you're floating through the air! Even though you wave your arms and kick your legs you can't help floating through the air! You keep floating until you're in front of the alien-type mountain and then it raises both its tentacles and points the tips of its tentacles at you from both sides and its enormous eyes flash and then you see a tiny spot of really bright light appear in front of you!


?????1 attacks with E-Atom!


Suddenly the tiny light explodes and the blast hits you so hard that all the air gets pushed out of your lungs and you're flying backward and-

...

...

Even though you're trying to sit up, you can't lift your arms or your legs at all. You can't even open your eyes because it hurts so much. It seems like this is going to be the last fight you ever have, doesn't it?

You can't even move your head.

We've been through a lot together, haven't we? You have lots of nice memories of all the fun things you got to do with all your friends.

Well, you tried your hardest. I'm sure your friends will understand.

When you turn your head you see a bunch of other weird glowing mons are looking at you! Even though the weird glowing mons aren't your friends, it seems like they're all really happy to see you!

What? You think the weird glowing mons all want to be your friends?

What? You're waving? When you look down at your hand you realize you're standing up and waving your hand! It really does seem like you have a lot more energy all of a sudden, doesn't it? Do you think it's because all the crystals around you are glowing so brightly?

The alien-type mountain turns back toward you and glares down at you and you see another tiny dot of light appear in front of its face but then suddenly one of the weird glowing mons hops next to you and looks up at the alien-type mountain and

then you watch from the other side of the alien-type mountain as the tiny dot of light explodes and you have to close your eyes and... what? You're standing on the other side of the alien-type mountain? It seems like that weird glowing mon teleported you out of the way!

When you open your eyes again, all the weird glowing mons are gone! Suddenly the alien-type mountain glances back at you and you can't help taking a step backward but then it turns and slithers toward you and you take another step backward and then you hear "Pakitt!"

Suddenly you shift your stance and look up at the alien-type mountain and give it a determined look and squeeze your fists and try as hard as you can and then the crystals around you get a little brighter!

What? The crystals around you are getting brighter? Are you really making them... Wait, are you using your own energy to make the crystals glow?

You squeeze your fists even harder and the crystals get a little brighter but then you can't help crying out!

"Cutémon!"


Cutémon can hardly stand the pain!


Even though you're squeezing your fists as hard as you can, the crystals aren't glowing as brightly as they were before. It seems like you won't be able to make the weird glowing mons come back because you don't have anything left to give!

Cutémon is using Condenser.


You hold up the condenser that the Empress gave you!

What? You're holding up the condenser? Suddenly the tiny dot of light explodes and you have to close your eyes but then you open your eyes and see all the energy from the E-Atom attack getting sucked into the condenser! It looks like it's glowing more brightly than it was a moment ago!

The alien-type mountain can't believe it! When you look up at the alien-type mountain another tiny dot of light appears in front of its face!


Cutémon is using Condenser.


The tiny dot of light explodes but then all the energy gets sucked into the condenser again and when you look at the alien-type mountain you...

What? You just noticed the alien-type mountain gets smaller every time it uses E-Atom? Now that it's smaller it makes a bigger difference every time it happens! The alien-type mound glares at you and you see a tiny dot of light but then you hold up the condenser again and all the energy gets sucked into the condenser and when you open your eyes the alien-type mound is the size of a regular alien-type mon!

Suddenly the alien-type mon glares at you and then it crouches down and jumps at you and you can't help crying out and hitting it with the condenser!

[SFX: crack]

Suddenly the condenser cracks and breaks open and floods the cave with light and you have to close your eyes again but when you open your eyes all the crystals are glowing again!

The alien-type mon melts into a puddle of black tar and inside is a weird crystal cutécaptor!

You crouch down and reach out one hand and carefully touch it with one finger and

What? Did you really just learn the third special Cutémon ability that Booker told you about? Do you really think you can use Makeover to turn into a human girl?

You're nodding your head! Does this mean you're going to turn into-

"Tamounda!"

What? Tamounda is here? You look up and see Tamounda peeking down at you from the hole in the wall and then you see Joe lean over the edge and then Joe smiles when he sees you!

"Hey!"

"Ram-ram!"

"Lottatax!"

Ramster and Lottatax stick their heads out over the edge and look down at you and then Lottatax climbs down the side of the cave wall and then you see Onlion and Ekro behind Joe and then you see Sailater behind Joe and then everyone gets nudged forward by Sailater and Tamounda falls over the edge out of the hole and lands on the ground near you and says "Tamounda!"

Joe leans all the way out over the edge and looks down at Tamounda. "Are you alright, Tamounda?"

Tamounda stands up and shakes himself and says "Tamounda!" and then everyone else starts to climb out of the hole and down the side of the cave wall and then Sailater sticks his snout all the way out and peeks over the edge and puts one foot on the edge and the edge starts to break away!

[SFX: growling]

Sailater doesn't like it! Sailater backs up and peeks over the edge at you and your other friends and then Joe says "Come on, Sailater! It's not very far."

Sailater looks over the edge and starts to growl but then the ledge breaks apart and Sailater slides down the side of the cave wall onto the ground next to everyone else and when the dust settles you see Tamounda looking at the weird crystal cutécaptor and then Tamounda says "Tamounda?" and sticks out his tongue and

Tamounda looks up at you and his eyes start to sparkle and you can't even remember what you were talking about because Tamounda is so cute!

What? Joe is talking? You shake your head and look up at Joe.

Tamounda trots around in a circle and says "Tamounda!"

"Really?" Joe looks at you and then looks at Tamounda and looks at you again and then you look at Tamounda.

"Now use Fracture!"

Tamounda lifts up his tail and his eyes start to glow and he says "TAMOUNDA!"

"Wait, I don't think that's a good-"


Tamounda attacks with Fracture!


Tamounda slams his tail down on the ground and the cave floor cracks open and then the crack spreads all the way across the ground toward the hole in the wall and then the crack spreads up the wall and the hole in the wall collapse and then the edge of the cave ceiling starts to collapse toward you and your friends!

"Everybody, this way! Hurry!" Joe waves his hands and points at the water and says "Get on top of Sailater!" Sailater crouches down and everyone climbs onto his back and then Joe says "Sailater, into the water!"

Sailater stomps his feet and then he charges toward the water and when you look back over your shoulder you see the cave ceiling collapsing behind you and you can't help closing your eyes!

...

It seems like you're still alive! You open your eyes and look down at Sailater floating across the water toward the other side of the cave where the alien-type mountain came from and then everyone looks back at the collapsed side of the cave and Joe says "I guess this makes it easy to decide which way to go."

Tamounda trots in a circle and lifts up his tail and looks up at Joe and says "Tamounda!"

"Uh, thanks, Tamounda." Joe looks around as Sailater gets close to the other shore. "We should probably camp here." Sailater walks out of the water onto the shore and everyone climbs off of Sailater and then Joe looks at the glowing crystals and grins at you. "We won't need a campfire, either."

Everyone follows Joe away from the water and when you get closer to the cave wall you see some steps and a big opening in the wall.

"Maybe we can get out through there." Joe puts the gym bag on the ground and takes off his backpack and looks around at everyone sitting on the ground. It seems like everyone is tired and hungry because you've all been fighting so much! "But for now, maybe we should have a late-night snack before bed."

Joe sits down next to the gym bag and hands out some more of the weird foods to Ramster and Tamounda and Lottatax and Ekro and you and then Onlion walks past you and then Joe reaches into the gym bag and eats some of the weird foods and Onlion walks past you again. Joe looks up at Onlion and says "Onlion, do you want to scout around?"

Onlion looks at Joe and says "ONNNN-"

"Don't go too far." Joe watches Onlion prowl away toward the big opening and then Joe says "And don't start a fight if you can help it!"

Tamounda sticks his nose in the gym bag and looks at Joe and says "Tamounda?"

"We should save the food." Joe looks at the big opening and says "It might take a while to find a way out."

Tamounda says "Tamounda..." and then looks at Ramster, Lottatax and Ekro curled up next to Sailater. It looks like they're all asleep! Tamounda trots over to Sailater and curls up next to him and then you look at Joe and see Joe looking at Tamounda.

Joe notices you looking at him and he glances at you. "You said Tamounda learned a new ability?"

You're nodding your head!

"Tamounda learned both his special abilities!"

Tamounda stands up and sticks his nose and tail in the air and says "Tamounda!" You can tell he's really proud of himself!

"It looked a lot like the cutécaptor, didn't it?" When you look at Joe he's holding the cutécaptor! Joe looks up from the cutécaptor at you. "I wonder if you would have learned the third special Cutémon ability if you touched it."

"I did touch it!"

Joe can't believe it! He fumbles the cutécaptor back into his jacket pocket and says "Does that mean... did you, um..."

"I learned Makeover!"

"Can you really turn into a human girl?" You don't know why but Joe looks nervous! "I mean, have you, um, have you tried using it?" He glances down and looks at you. "It might be permanent, right?"

Suddenly you and Joe both look away from each other and... What? You have a strange feeling in your chest? Even though you were happy because you learned a new ability, it seems like you're upset because Joe asked you about it. Do you think you might be able to understand if you had a higher LOVE stat?

What? You think you might be able to understand if you were a-

"Joe?"

"Hmm?"

"Should I be a human girl?"

"No! I-I just meant..." Joe looks around and says "Um, we should probably go to sleep."

I'm not sure about having (what's her name?) Mashi turn into a human, but I'm curious about hearing what Joe has to say about it. Changing into a human sounds like a quest-ending decision, given the name of the quest and how impactful it is.

Everyone looks at you but then all of a sudden the entire cave tilts sideways and Joe lunges toward you and grabs you and then you feel so dizzy you have to close your eyes!


Effects of Makeover ended.


It seems like Makeover uses a lot of energy! Joe helps you sit down next to him with his back against one of the big glowing crystals and then he puts his arms around you and you lean back against him but you can't get comfortable because you can feel the cutécaptor between you.

Joe adjusts the cutécaptor in his jacket pocket and whispers "Is that better?"

"Yeah."

...

When you open your eyes everyone else is awake and Onlion is back!

"Ram-ram!" Ramster points at Onlion and when you look closely you see Onlion has some scuff marks! Do you think Onlion was in a fight? Maybe you should tell Joe!

You look at Joe but Joe is already looking at you! "Do you have enough energy to use Hair Pin?" What? Joe wants you to use Hair Pin? You don't really know what he's thinking but you have a lot of energy right now! It's probably because you slept near all those glowing crystals!

"Yeah!"

Joe points at one of the glowing crystals sticking out of the ground and then looks at you. "Cutémon, use Hair Pin on that crystal."

You don't know why Joe wants you to do this but it seems important!

You give the glowing crystal a determined look.

When you look at Joe he holds up the cutécaptor. "When you used Makeover last night, the cutécaptor must have..." Joe looks up at you and says "Can you use Overbite?"

You close your eyes and concentrate on your outer fangs but even though you're trying as hard as you can they don't do anything! It seems like you really did forget how to use Hair Pin and Overbite!

What? You just realized you still feel the same way about Joe even though the cutécaptor isn't doing anything?

You concentrate as hard as you can and then you can feel your outer fangs growing longer and then your hair start to move around on its own! You're grinning at Joe!

Joe grins and looks at Onlion. "Ready to lead us out of here?"

Onlion says "ONNNN-" and then hops up onto the steps and looks back and everyone else starts following Onlion. Joe puts on his backpack and picks up the gym bag and follows Sailater and you follow Joe and...

What? You just realized you have a strange feeling in your chest? All of a sudden it seems like you're upset about something! Do you think you're upset because you need the cutécaptor to use Hair Pin and Overbite and not Joe?

[SFX: slithering noise]

You look around the cave and then run up the steps as quickly as you can!

Onlion lights up the inside of its mouth and leads everyone up a long dark hallway and then you walk up another long dark hallway and Joe says "I wonder if those alien-type mons are the only mons in the Forbidden Land."

You're shaking your head!

"There are mons in the crystals!"

"The crystals?" Joe glances at you and says "You mean the crystals in that cave?"

"Yeah!"

Everyone keeps walking and then you see light ahead of you and you walk out onto a balcony but there's a big pile of junk next to the balcony so you can just climb down the big pile of junk all the way to the ground!

Everyone starts climbing down and-

[SFX: growling]

Sailater can't fit through the opening because he's too big!

Joe puts his hand on Sailater's head and says "Don't worry, Sailater. We won't leave you here."

"Ram-ram!" What? Ramster sees something? When you look up you see a big mechanical-type mon that looks like a really big fish with a camera lens in its mouth!

Suddenly its camera lens flashes and a bolt of light shoots out toward Onlion!


????? attacks with Zapper!


Onlion jumps out of the way just in time and the bolt of light makes a bunch of junk go flying into the air and then the mechanical-type mon shoots another bolt of light at Onlion and says "YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE."

It seems like it really doesn't like Onlion!

Ekro hits the mechanical-type mon with one wing as he flies past it but then it spins around in the air and its camera lens flashes at Ekro!

Ekro is flapping his wings as hard as he can but he can't stay in the air! Everyone watches the mechanical-type mon fly back and forth through the air but nobody can attack it because Ekro is the only other flying-type mon!

You pick up a piece of junk and throw it at the mechanical-type mon!

[SFX: clinking]

You got its attention!


????? attacks with Strike!

Cutémon dodges out of the way!


The mechanical-type mon flies at you but you jump sideways and it keeps flying toward Joe! You can't help closing your eyes!

"YOU ARE NOT THE SAME HUMAN AS BEFORE."

When you open your eyes you see the mechanical-type mon floating in front of Joe's face! Joe looks around and then points at himself and says "Me?"

"THIS MON WAS HERE BEFORE WITH ANOTHER HUMAN."

The mechanical-type mon spins around and points its camera lens at Onlion and Onlion crouches down and says "ONNNN-"

"I DON'T RECALL IT BEING THIS TALKATIVE."

"Wait a second, Onlion." Joe holds out one hand toward Onlion and looks up. "Are you talking about Professor Plumtree?"

what? You think Flasheye looks a lot like your friend Dipoelagus? Do you think Flasheye was made by the ancient humans just like Dipoelagus?

"Yeah!"

"IS THAT HIS NAME?"

"We're not, um..." Joe looks at you and then looks up at the mechanical-type mon. "We don't really have anything to do with him. My name is Joe. What's your name?"

The mechanical-type mon turns and looks at you and all your friends. "FLASHEYE."

"Cutémon!"

"Ram-ram!"

"Tamounda!"

"Lottatax!"

"Flasheye!"

"ONNNN-"

[SFX: growling]

what? You just remembered Sailater is still stuck in the opening? Everyone looks at Sailater and Joe says "Is there anything you can do to help Sailater?"

"OF COURSE. CONSIDER IT AN APOLOGY."


Flasheye is using Shrinker!


Flasheye's camera lens flashes and then Sailater starts to get smaller and smaller until he's so small you can hold him in your hand!


Sailater turned into Sailighter!


You hold Sailater up and Joe looks down him and then looks up at Flasheye. "Um, thanks. How long will Sailater be like this?"

"THE EFFECT SHOULD END IN AN HOUR OR SO."

[SFX: tiny growling noise]

Sailater doesn't like it!

"Um..." Joe looks up from Sailater at Flasheye. "Is this your home?"

"WE ARE MORE LIKE CARETAKERS. UNFORTUNATELY, SEVERAL OF US WERE DESTROYED BY THAT REIGNITED ALIEN SPACESHIP."

"There's another one draining power from the crystal in Zinca."

"SOMETHING HAS OCCURRED TO REIGNITE THEM."

It sounds like the broken alien spaceship! Everyone hides behind some junk and then you see the broken alien spaceship float around the corner with some alien-type mons peeking out the holes in the sides!

Flasheye says "YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO JOIN THIS BATTLE."

You stand up and smile at Flasheye!

"We'll h-"


UFO attacks with Zone!

It really hurts everyone!


Suddenly a beam of green light sweeps toward you and everything explodes and when the dust clears there's a huge trench in the ground with you, Ekro, Tamounda, and Flasheye on one side and Joe, Sailater, Ramster, Lottatax, and Onlion on the far side!


Tamounda attacks UFO with Fracture!

Can't reach!

UFO is using Beam-Up!


The beam of light changes to yellow and Tamounda floats up into midair and one of the alien-type mons peeks out from a hole in the side and glares at Tamounda!


?????5 attacks Tamounda with Irrad!

It really hurts Tamounda!

Flasheye attacks with Strike!


Flasheye flies past Tamounda and knocks into the alien spaceship and the beam of light flickers and drops Tamounda!


UFO attacks with Backfire!

?????5 can't stand the pain!


The alien-type mon that attacked Tamounda starts to glow and then suddenly vaporizes! What? That alien-type mon just got vaporized?


UFO has too much energy!

UFO attacks with Neutron!

Ekro can hardly stand the pain!

Cutémon is using Hair Pin!


The alien spaceship dips down and your hair stretches out and wraps around some holes and you get pulled into the air and then one of the alien-type mons peeks out of a hole and glares at you!


UFO attacks with Backfire!

?????4 can't stand the pain!


Suddenly the alien-type mon glows and vaporizes!


Too much energy!

UFO attacks Cutémon with Neutron!

Too close to target.


All of a sudden the alien spaceship is shaking and smoking! You try to jump off but it tilts and you fall backward onto it and then the alien spaceship flies up higher! It tilts again and you have to grab the edge of a hole to hang on and then it tilts more and you have to hang on because your feet are dangling out into open air! You can't help crying out and when you look around you see the three alien-type mons peek out at you!

What? You just noticed one of the enormous buildings is getting closer?

Your head really hurts!

When you reach up and touch the top of your head you feel a lump but then you open your eyes and you're so high up you can't see the ground!

You scoot back away from the edge and then you stand up and look around but you don't know where you are. Even though you look around everywhere you can't see anything because it's so dark!

[SFX: slithering noise]

What? Something just made a slithering noise? You look around but you can't see anything! You had better do something!

"Hello?"

[SFX: slithering noise]

You're really scared now! You look all over and suddenly you see something move in the shadows and then you fall over backward and can't help covering your eyes!

[SFX: slithering noise]

You can hear it slithering closer! It sounds like it's right in front of you!

When you open your eyes you see something looking at you!

"◓◔◐"

It seems like it wants to know your name! You had better tell it right away!

...

What? You really don't remember anything? You mean you don't even remember you're a Cutémon?

You sit up and look at your new friend!

"I'm a Cutémon!"

"◓◔◎"

You look around again but even though you have a new friend, you're still really upset! Do you think you know why?

"I'm lost!"

You didn't mean to say that out loud but your new friend is looking at you! Suddenly your new friend slithers across the floor and points a tentacle at a doorway and looks back at you.

"◐◓◎"

It seems like your new friend wants to help! You look around again but you still don't see anything you recognize. Are you going to follow your new friend?

You look around one more time and then you follow your new friend through the doorway and into a long dark hallway. Even though you can't see anything you can hear a slithering noise in front of you but then after a little while the slithering noise gets quieter and then you can't hear anything except your own footsteps. Even though you know they're your footsteps you're getting scared again because you can't see anything!

You can't help crying out!

"Hello?"

[SFX: slithering noise]

You run forward through the dark and after a few moments you see stars ahead of you and all of a sudden one side of the hall is gone and you can see the open night sky but you're still too high up to see the ground. When you look around you see your new friend next to the doorway to a scary dark hallway but you walk past it and then you and your new friend keep going down the open hallway and-

[SFX: slithering noise]

When you look back over your shoulder you see your new friend pointing toward the scary dark hallway! It seems like your new friend wants you to go down the scary dark hallway instead of the open hallway!

You shake your head and then you and your new friend go down the open hallway and...

What? Your new friend really isn't going to go down the open hallway with you? It's just sitting next to the doorway to the scary dark hallway looking at you! Well, this hallway really does look like it's a lot nicer! I think you made the right choice! You look at your new friend one more time and then you walk down the open hallway. Even though you can see where you're walking you have to stay close to the inside wall because you don't want to fall out into the open air!

You keep walking and look at all the stars in the sky.

What? You think this seems familiar? Do you remember another time when you were looking at all the stars in the sky? Well, maybe you'll remember more if you keep walking!

You keep walking and after a few moments you get to a part of the hall where there are walls on both sides again and then you walk a little more and then walk around a corner and past a dark doorway and when you walk a little more you have to stop because the rest of the hallway is melted closed!

It's a dead end! Do you think you can get around this if you go through that dark doorway?

You're nodding your head! You turn around and walk back to the dark doorway and peek inside but you can't see anything and then you tip-toe further down the dark hallway and then you see a light ahead of you! It looks like you really can get out from here! You run down the dark hallway toward the light but then you skid to a stop because all of a sudden you run into a room and see a bunch of new friends playing cards! When they notice you they all look up and glare at you and-

[SFX: slithering noise]

What? All your new friends are surrounding you? They're still glaring at you! Maybe it's because you interrupted their game! You turn around but the you see another new friend glaring at you from the doorway and you can't help taking a step backward and falling onto the table and then one of them stretches out its tentacle at you!

You look around again and then walk back the way you came and look around and see another dark hallway and then you tip-toe up the other dark hallway and after a little while you can see the stars again. You look back up the hallway and then your new friend wraps a tentacle around your hand and pulls you toward the scary dark hallway. Are you really going to hide in there?

You look over your shoulder up the hallway and then you look at your new friend and nod and you both crouch down behind the doorway of the scary dark hallway and when you peek out you see your other new friends all glaring at each other as they slither past. They all look really angry!

After a few moments you can't hear anything and then you jump out of the scary dark hallway as quickly as you can. It seems like you really don't want to go in there!

"It's too scary!"

[SFX: slithering noise]

Your new friend reaches inside itself and around for a moment and then it pulls out a glowing crystal and holds it up in the air and all of a sudden the scary dark hallway turns into a regular hallway! It's not scary at all!

You look at your new friend and smile and then your new friend hands you the glowing crystal and you hold it up like a torch and then your new friend grins at you. It seems like your new friend is really nice!

You hold the glowing crystal in front of you and walk down the hallway and look at the glowing crystal.

What? You think the glowing crystal looks familiar? Do you remember having another glowing crystal like this one?

"Yeah!"

You didn't mean to say that out loud but your new friend is looking at you! Are you thinking about asking your new friend where it got the glowing crystal?

What? You're thinking about how your new friend needs a name? What are you going to name it?

Joe slithers down the hallway and you follow it and then you get to another hallway and you follow Joe and then you keep walking.

You've been walking through hallways for hours! Even though you don't know where you are it seems like Joe knows where to go so you keep following it and then all of a sudden you walk through a doorway and you can see the outside in front of you! It didn't seem like you would ever find your way down from the building but now you can go wherever you want!

You look at Joe and smile!

"Thanks, Joe!"

Joe wiggles its tentacles at you and grins and slithers across the floor and peeks out the doorway and you tip-toe across the floor and peek out the doorway and see a bunch of huge piles of junk and then you look at Joe and whisper.

"What are we looking for?"

Joe looks up at you but then you hear a really loud sound and then you see a huge round floating metal thing with lots of flashing lights float around the corner of a pile of junk across the street! Joe wraps a tentacle around your hand and pulls you back into the building and you both peek out and watch the huge round floating metal thing as it floats past the doorway. Suddenly a panel lifts up and another new friend glares out and looks around and then looks in your direction!

You and Joe crouch down and hide and you look at Joe and it looks at you and then you both look at the doorway but the huge round floating metal thing keeps floating down the street and then after a little while it floats around the corner of the building. It seems like nobody saw you!

You look at Joe!

"Come on!"

You and Joe hurry across the street and then you run up the street away from the huge round floating metal thing and...

What? You think you remember seeing the huge round floating metal thing before? Well, even if you do remember seeing it before, you should probably make sure it doesn't see you!

[SFX: clinking noise]

Joe looks at you and waves a tentacle and points at a doorway and then you and Joe squeeze inside and peek out and then you see some strange things walk around a pile of junk on the other side of the street and then one of them looks around and says "Lottatax."

"Ram-ram."

"Tamounda."

"ONNNN-"

You don't know what they are but it seems like they're pretty noisy!

What? You think you remember seeing these strange things before? Well, maybe you should take a closer look!

You peek out from around the corner again and then you-

When you look at Joe it glances at the strange things and then Joe looks at you and shakes its head.

It seems like Joe doesn't think that's a good idea!

What? You think you remember seeing these humans before? Are you really going to keep hiding even though you think you remember them?

You look down at Joe and Joe glances at the humans and then looks at you and shakes its head!

"◓◔◓"

Joe points one tentacle at the top of the junkpile and then you notice a weird thing with glowing green eyes peeking out from behind some junk!

What? You think you remember seeing one of these weird things before?


Effects of Mirage ended.


Suddenly all of the humans and the other things you thought you remembered disappear and then then the weird thing glares down at you and Joe and its eyes flash and your skin feels like it's on fire!

Joe attacks with Irrad!

Joe can't help slithering backward but then Joe's eyes flash and the weird thing falls off the top of the junkpile and lands in front of you!

You crouch down and give the weird thing a determined look and then you jump on it and poke it with your outer fangs!

The weird thing shakes you off and tries to hit you with its tail but you jump out of the way just in time and a bunch of junk flies into the air and then a piece of junk bounces off the top of the weird thing's head and then-

The weird thing looks down and sees Joe and then Joe stretches out its tentacles and wraps them around the weird thing's neck and looks at you and then your hair stretches out and wraps around the weird thing's neck!

You and Joe both turns your heads and look up the street as the huge round floating metal thing with lots of flashing lights floats around the corner of a building and then it starts to float toward you!

Joe nods at you and you spin around on one foot and run toward the pile of junk!

All of a sudden you hear a really loud clanking noise and when you look back over your shoulder you see the UFO fly up into the air above Joe and then the UFO's beam of light flashes and turns yellow and shines on Joe!


UFO is using Beam-Up!


Joe holds one tentacle over its eyes because it's so bright but then Joe floats up into the air and stops in midair and all three of the weird things riding inside the UFO pop out from hatches in the UFO and glare at Joe and their eyes flash!

The UFO's beam drops Joe on the ground and Joe tries to slither away but it doesn't have any energy! Joe stops slithering and then it sags down in the middle. It looks like Joe is melting into a puddle of black tar!

You crouch down and stick the glowing crystal into the puddle of black tar and then the puddle inflates like a balloon and Joe looks at you and blinks and then it grins at you but then Joe looks over your shoulder at the UFO floating behind you!

What? You forgot about the UFO? Suddenly the UFO's light flickers and turns green and then it shines like a spotlight across the ground and the ground explodes wherever the light shines and then the green spotlight sweeps over you and Joe and the ground explodes all around you!

When the dust clears you see Joe on top of a piece of rubble next to you and then you both look up at the UFO above you and all three of the weird things riding inside the UFO lift up their hatches and glare down at you!

The UFO starts to wobble and then it starts spinning around while it wobbles and then it flies back and forth and then it flies toward you and Joe!

What? Tamounda is here? Suddenly you feel something lick your face and then you open your eyes and see Tamounda looking at you! Tamounda says "Tamounda!" and then looks up and says "Tamounda!"

"You're alive!" That sounds like Joe!

What? You remember what Joe sounds like? When you sit up you see Ramster, Lottatax, Onlion, Ekro, Sailater, Flasheye and Joe all looking at you!

It seems like you really do remember all your friends! You can't help smiling!

What? You just remembered your other friend named Joe? You look around but all you see is the crashed UFO and a bunch of junk everywhere and then Joe crouches down next to you and helps you stand up. "Are you alright?"

"Lottatax!" Everyone looks behind you at Lottatax and then Lottatax picks up a glowing crystal in his mouth and looks up at you and says "Ah-ah-ax!" and then you crouch down in front of Lottatax and take the crystal out of his mouth and look at it closely.

"It's the other Joe's crystal!"

Well, if the other Joe's crystal is here, that probably means the other Joe was here, right?

Joe looks at the crystal and then looks at you. "You mean there really IS an alien-type mon named Joe?" It seems like Joe still can't believe it!

What? You think the other Joe might have left the glowing crystal here on purpose because it was a present?

"Yeah!"

Joe nods his head. "Even so, I think we should keep moving." Joe looks up at the sky and then you look up and see it's already starting to get light out. "The Empress said we only have three days until they turn on that force field. We can always come back later, right?"

Even though you want to find the other Joe, it seems like you really should leave right away!

You look at the crashed UFO again and then you take a deep breath and shout.

"See you later, Joe!"

Joe is smiling at you! "Ready?"

You're nodding your head!

Flasheye spins around in the air and looks up the street and says "THE PROTOTYPE IS NOT FAR FROM HERE." You and Joe and Ramster and Tamounda and Lottatax and Onlion and Ekro and Sailater all follow Flasheye up the street and...

What? You think you feel something watching you? When you look over your shoulder you don't see anything. Maybe you just imagined it!

Flasheye spins around in the air and looks back at you and your friends. "STAY TOGETHER, PLEASE."

"Flasheye's right. Everybody stay close."

"Ram-ram."

"Tamounda."

"Lottatax."

"ONNNN-"

You keep walking past some junk and then suddenly you turn around and peek over the edge of the junk!

What? Tamounda is challenging Joe? When you turn around you see Tamounda crouching down and looking at the other Joe! Tamounda takes a step forward and the other Joe can't help slithering backward but then it bumps into a pile of junk and can't slither backward any further! Tamounda takes another step forward and says "Tamounda!"

The other Joe glances around and then it closes its eyes and holds both its tentacles in front of its face! It seems like the other Joe is afraid of Tamounda!

You grin at the other Joe!

"Hi, Joe!"

Everyone looks at the other Joe and then Joe crouches down in front of the other Joe and says "So this is the other Joe?"

The other Joe opens one eye and peeks up at Joe and then it opens its eyes and smiles at Joe and says "◓◕◉"

Joe can't help falling backward because he's so surprised! When Joe sits up he looks at the other Joe and then Tamounda looks at it and says "Tamounda!" and then Ramster and Lottatax peek out from behind Tamounda at the other Joe but then suddenly the other Joe stops and looks up because Onlion is looking down at it!

The other Joe is too scared to move!

Onlion looks at the other Joe for a moment and then Onlion opens its mouth and the other Joe closes its eyes and holds both its tentacles in front of its face but then Onlion says "ONNNN-" and the other Joe opens its eyes and looks up at Onlion and smiles!

Flasheye looks down at the other Joe and says "THIS IS A VERY UNUSUAL SITUATION."

You look at Joe.

"Can the other Joe come with?"

"Um..." Joe looks at the other Joe but then he glances at you and you give Joe your cutest look and Joe can't help smiling! "I guess if you're already friends, it's probably alright."

You and the other Joe grin at each other and then Flasheye says "THE PROTOTYPE SHOULD BE JUST AHEAD." Flasheye keeps floating up the street and then you and your friends follow Flasheye along the edge of a really tall cliff and you can't even see the ground because you're so high! Flasheye floats toward one of the enormous buildings and then it stops in front of a doorway and spins around in the air. "HERE WE ARE."

Joe looks into the doorway and then looks up at Flasheye and nods and then you all walk through the doorway and when you hold up the glowing crystal you can see Flasheye floating in front of Joe.

Everyone follows Flasheye through the enormous building and then after a while you walk into a huge room and see a really big machine with four legs standing in the middle of the room!

Ramster holds up a tiny camera and takes a picture and then Joe looks up at the really big machine. "Is that the flying machine?"

"KEEP IN MIND IT IS JUST A PROTOTYPE." Flasheye floats past Joe and spins around in the air. "I CANNOT PROMISE IT WILL ACTUALLY FLY."

"Still, it's worth a try, right?" Joe walks underneath the really big machine and looks up. "Maybe we can get inside through-"

[SFX: sliding noise]

Suddenly a hole opens above Joe's head! Lottatax says "Lottatax!" and scurries through the hole!

"Hey! Lottatax! Wait!" Joe climbs up into the hole and then you look into the hole and put the glowing crystal in your jacket pocket and climb in after Joe and then Sailater tries to climb in after you but he can't even fit his head inside because he's too big!

[SFX: growling noise]

Sailater doesn't like it!

Everyone else gets inside and when you look up you see Joe sitting above you in a big chair in front of some controls but then Joe looks down at you and shrugs. "I don't see any way to turn it on."

"I'll help!"

What? You think you can figure out how to turn on the really big machine even though Joe can't figure it out? You climb up next to the big chair and look at the controls and-

[SFX: rising pitch]

It sounds like the really big machine just turned on!

"Lottatax!" When you look down you see Lottatax looking at your jacket pocket and then you see the glowing crystal is starting to glow even brighter! It looks like that might be what makes the really big machine turn on!

[SFX: sliding noise]

Suddenly the hole closes and then the really big machine sways and starts floating off the ground! It seems like it really is a flying machine after all!

What? You just realized the flying machine is headed straight toward the wall?

Look out!

"Ram-ram!"

Everyone covers their eyes but then the wall opens up!

[SFX: growling]

Sailater lunges at the flying machine and bites one leg and gets dragged after it and when the flying machine gets to the edge it floats all the way down the side of the mountain with Sailater getting dragged down the side of the mountain after it! It seems like it can't fly because Sailater is too heavy!

Joe puts his hands on the controls and tries to steer but nothing happens and then he looks at you. "I think you might have to drive."

You float all the way across the water toward the Imperial City and when you get closer you can see the alien spaceship is still shining its beam on the huge crystal and then Sailater finally lets go when you float past the Imperial Palace and see the Empress!

What? You don't think the huge crystal is glowing very brightly?

The flying machine shakes and tilts upside-down and everyone gets pushed up against the window and everything keeps spinning! Don't you think you should fight back?

What? You just realized you don't know how to do anything besides fly?

The flying machine is still spinning!

Suddenly you feel something squeezing your hand and when you look down you see Joe holding your hand and then the flying machine stops spinning! When you look up at Joe he says "Maybe there's something you can make the prototype do to fight back."

Even though Joe thinks you can make the flying machine fight, you don't really know what to-


CutéSuit is using Rainbow!


What? Rainbow? Suddenly a huge rainbow appears and when you look down you see Sailater running up the rainbow! Sailater runs all the way up into the air and jumps at the alien spaceship!


Sailater attacks with Jaws!

It hurts Orbiter!


Sailater isn't letting go! He twists around but then a hole opens up on the side of the alien spaceship and a satellite dish pops out and aims at Sailater!


Orbiter attacks with E-Vacuum!

It really hurts Sailater!


Sailater falls off the rainbow and falls through the air and crashes into the ground and when the dust clears you see Sailater glaring up at the alien spaceship and then the alien spaceship aims the satellite dish toward you! You had better do something right away!


CutéSuit is using Rainbow!


[SFX: rumbling]

When you look out the window you see a bunch of Sailaters running up the rainbow toward the alien spaceship!


Sailater2 attacks with Jaws!

Sailater3 attacks with Jaws!

Sailater4 attacks with Jaws!

All the Sailaters bite the alien spaceship and then it starts to wobble because all the Sailaters are so heavy but then its beam of light flashes and turns green!

The beam of green light shines all over and knocks all the Sailaters off and then the beam of green light shines over the Imperial Palace and the ground and the tall hedges outside the Imperial Palace explode everywhere!

You grab the controls with both hands and the flying machine turns around and flies away from the huge crystal but the alien spaceship doesn't chase you! It's still shining its beam of light on the huge crystal!

"We need to get it mad." Joe glances out the window. "Try to make some kind of attack."

Even though you really want to, you don't know how because you don't know what its abilities are!


CutéSuit is using Funnel!

"Tamounda!" When you look at Tamounda you see a glowing light stretch out from the controls through the air toward Tamounda! Tamounda can't help taking a step backward but then he says "Tamounda!" and spins around and slaps his tail against the glowing light!


CutéSuit attacks with Fracture!


What? The flying machine just used Tamounda's Fracture attack? Suddenly a huge ripple of energy shoots out of the flying machine toward the alien spaceship and knocks it off-balance and makes a dent in the side!

Joe grins at Tamounda and says "Way to go, Tamounda!"

Tamounda sticks his nose up and says "Tamounda!" but then the alien spaceship floats away from the huge crystal toward you and then its beam of light flickers and turns green and then it shines on you like a spotlight!


Orbiter attacks with Zone!

It really hurts CutéSuit!


The flying machine spins around in the air again and again and then you see the alien spaceship floating around toward you again but then all of a sudden Ekro flaps his wings and lands in front of you and points his wing at the alien spaceship and then puffs out his feathers!

Joe looks at Ekro and says "I get it, Ekro!" and then he looks at you and says "Use Funnel on Ekro!"

You don't really know why but you had better do what Joe says!


CutéSuit is using Funnel!


Joe squeezes his hands into fists and as soon as the glowing light begins to stretch out from the controls Joe says "Ekro, use Time Echo!"

Ekro flaps his wings and the air in front of the alien spaceship ripples and then another alien spaceship appears in front of it!


CutéSuit is using Time Echo!

Orbiter2 attacks with Zone!

It really hurts Orbiter!


The second alien spaceship shines a beam of green light across the first alien spaceship and then fire explodes all along the outside where the beam is shining and then the second alien spaceship disappears and the alien spaceship starts to wobble back and forth!


Shields down!

Engines down!

Initiating sequence "Sore Loser!"


You don't know what that means but it doesn't sound good!


Orbiter is using Beam-Up!


The alien spaceship shines its beam of light on you and the flying machine gets dragged along behind it!

The alien spaceship flies all over and flies faster and faster but you can't do anything to get free from the beam of light and then Ramster says "Ram-ram!" and you see the alien spaceship flying down toward a forest!

When the alien spaceship crashes it makes a huge explosion and you have to close your eyes but then the flying machine starts to shake and everyone gets thrown around and then you look up through the window just in time to see the forest coming toward you!

[SFX: explosion]

...

...

You don't really know what just happened but you can't help coughing because there's so much smoke and then you open your eyes turn your head and realize you're lying on the ground in a forest! This is probably the same forest where you crashed!

When you try to stand up you can't and then you look down and see a big tree on top of your leg! It looks like it fell over because of all the fire! You try to pull your leg out from under it but you can't move at all and then you have to cough again!

"You've certainly been keeping busy." What? You recognize that voice? You have to cough again but then when you look up you see Professor Plumtree standing over you!

You can't help crying out but instead you just start coughing again!

"Fortunately for me, it appears you don't have much energy at the moment." Professor Plumtree reaches down and you try to scoot backward but you can't move at all and then Professor Plumtree grabs you and pulls you out from under the big tree!


Cutémon attacks with Overbite!

Not enough energy.

Cutémon is using Hair Pin!

Not enough energy.

Cutémon is using Trip!

Not enough energy.

Cutémon attacks with Bite!

Not enough energy.


You can't get free, no matter how hard you try! All of a sudden Professor Plumtree looks at you and says "I need your help to save our world."

What? Professor Plumtree just said he needs your help?

"It appears that a human-type mon is required to operate that ancient flying device. It will need to be repaired immediately. Alien spaceships have appeared above the crystal pillars in other cities."

Is Professor Plumtree saying he wants to help by repairing the flying machine? Do you really think you can trust him?

Professor Plumtree can't help crying out! As soon as you bite Professor Plumtree's arm, he drops you on the ground and you crawl away and grab a tree and pull yourself to your feet and then you run away as quickly as you can!

Maybe you can find Joe and your other friends! You keep running and-

"I was hoping to save this until we returned to my laboratory."

When you look over your shoulder you see Professor Plumtree hold up a glowing pink ball and aim it at you!
