"Oh, I see..." Triss follows Cady's gaze and watches Lyra squatting on the other side of the sand pit with her hands outstretched as an uneven hill slowly rises up. "You're probably embarrassed to be partnered with me."
<span class="mu-i">
Where did that come from?

Triss looks back to Cady and smiles. "Now that Master Cynto is gone, it's fine if you don't talk to me anymore."

Her self-esteem is even lower than mine!

"No, no, no! That's not it at all! Let me introduce you to my friends!" Cady grabs Triss's hand and walks her around the center to the other students. "Does everybody know Triss?"
Lyra looks up, still squatting in front of the sand pit. "You're the girl from the commissary!"
Oberon crosses his arms. "I believe she's the assistant Jedi Librarian."
"Um, Triss, this is Lyra and her brother Oberon, and that's Deline and Jax."
"Are you a student here?" Deline frowns in concentration as she holds her hand outstretched above the rising column of sand.
"She must be, right?" The column of sand collapses when Deline looks up at Jax and catches him looking at Triss.
"Hey, Princess Sigis!" Lyra pops up in front of Cady's face. "What do people do for fun at school on your home planet?"
Cady glances around the expectant faces. "Um..."
(She didn't participate in any clubs.)
"I guess... around this time of year would be a school festival?"
"A school festival?" Deline leans in. "What's that?"
Lyra's hair bobs as she nods. "Yeah, sounds fun!"
"The students sell food and compete with the other classes to see who can earn the most money, and the clubs have exhibit booths with information about what they do." Cady grins at the other girls.
(They don't look as excited anymore.)
"That doesn't sound very fun," Lyra mutters.

I'm losing the crowd!

"Well, um... sometimes there's a twist, you know? Like a crossplay maid café or something."
Deline and Lyra glance at one another and then Deline begins to sound it out. "Cross...?"
"Uh, you know, the female students dress in long pants and crisp vests tailored to look like men, and the male students wear short frilly dresses tailored to look like women."
Lyra grips her hands together. "If we did that, everyone would want to go to Obi's café!"
Deline and Triss give a simultaneous squeal and Oberon stammers "H-hey!" and then adjusts his posture and repositions his optics. "Why am I the one you're talking about?"
"Is that really something they do on your home planet, Cady?" Triss's eyes are sparkling.
<span class="mu-i">
They say it's always the librarian-types!

Jax clears his throat. "What else do students do on your home planet?"
<span class="mu-i">
Nice save, Jax!

"When it's hot out? Class hikes, I suppose."
"Hikes?" Deline perks up.
