With the fall of the Space Fortress Artemis, the Might of the hijacked G-Weapons is finally showcased for both sides to see in a proper engagement... You, Frieden Moon. Did not take part on it. But as you're finally arriving closer to the PLANT colonies in order to discuss the situation of not only Heliopolis' fall but perhaps, the Secrets discovered within it... A question is raised over what it means for the only Natural ZAFT pilot to come back with news for the Homeland's council to hear.

You kept hovering your hand across the tablet as you stared at it from your empty bunk.

You could already picture Yzak calling you spineless for the behaviour you were exhibiting, at least if he was here...

The remaining week-long trip back to the PLANTs had been filled with only that taciturn feeling of... Longing and dread for what had happened beyond your ability to act.

After all, it was your choice to join Athrun and Le Creuset for the hearing...

And yet, maybe in order to keep your composure to the best of your ability, you've withheld from properly reviewing the thing, even as you considered it more and more.

Yet, a knock on your airlock makes you aware of the immediate reality of your situation as you turned off the tablet.

You try to make as if that statement didn't faze you as much but... Truth be told, the matter of Artemis had only distracted you from your own doubts you had when departing towards the PLANTs.

Rusty's death, The fall of Heliopolis... Margellan's doubts on Siegel Clyne's actions.

"Someone gave a tip these Mobile Suits were mobilized here, Makes no sense to check a neutral colony for them. Arisman's a top-record spy... But she got her orders from someone and I have no reason to doubt it was Chancellor Clyne."

Margellan's own statements about the fact did seem to remind you of them all as you readied your uniform, departing with Athrun as the Vesalius finally docks within a supply station of the PLANT homeland.

"Do take this however, Natural. Don't let anyone see this slip or tinker heavily with the Green Frame until someone treats you just like home. [You'll know the one."

You pocket the dossier-folded slip with technical notations and the data disk with Red-Frame's system data into your coat's pockets as you finally exit out of your bunk and float off with Athrun across its halls.

Finding yourselves both stopping as one of the windows is serviced from the outside.

You're both home... And it almost feels like it isn't quite where you belong.

Joining with Le Creuset and wordlessly making your way among you three to a shuttle that had recently docked within the Vesalius' docking area.

You suppose getting to Aprilius One'd take that, especially with the renown and the heat that Le Creuset had garnered with his summoning.

You did not expect to see the passenger hall having two already... Much less those two being the most powerful men in the PLANT colonies.

"Commander Zala... Supreme Chancellor Clyne." Le Creuset greeted as you and Athrun, out of sheer instinct from the Chief Commander of ZAFT and the Supreme Chancellor, raised your right arms to chest and shoulder in salute.

"Don't bother with the formalities... We're short on time, so being brief." Patrick Zala commented away, giving one glare towards their son and your own salute as you both hurriedly dropped it "You three did not see us on this vessel and nothing that shall be discussed during the trip to the Council's building shall be reiterated unless deemed necessary. Are we clear?" Athrun and you affirm as well, deciding to settle by the separate row as Le Creuset discussed privately with the Commander...

Or that was the plan, as Clyne unchecks their belt safeties, standing up and floating by you as they extend their right hand towards you "It is good to see you again. Frieden."

You take their hand, shaking it lightly before noticing his grip seemed to go further, slightly holding your wrist as they seemed intent to pull on it.

You didn't really know what to do as you looked abound of the seating arrangement.

As Clyne breathed in "Chancellor Mackenzie's Son has passed away...? I'll have to reserve some time to inform them before we engage the proceedings of today."

The degree of caution the older man was well-merited, from what he had told you as you told them from your departure from the PLANTs up to the disaster operation at Heliopolis.

"It's concerning how sturdy that ship had been made to withstand that and so much more... But I doubt it had gotten properly resupplied ar Artemis." Clyne drops their own two cents as he rubbed their forehead with their index and thumb a tired expression that seems to vanish as he notices your own uncertainty at his mention of the fortress "My apologies it had gotten involved in this war after everything... The Wall of Light was wuite the technical marvel yet it could not withstand the same power intended to be wielded by..."

"You're not exactly making it better, Sir." You try to cut off from the topic as it still held a cloud over your head, The man trying to give a comforting smile but soon realizing it wouldn't help you.

You looked away into the shuttle's windows as it began approaching the capital colony of the PLANT's apparatus.

"I suppose the anticipation is getting to us both, My apologies." Supreme Chairman Clyne mentions as you're taken aback from the window as he looked up "Truthfully, it has been messy to deal with Heliopolis' destruction with as little information and official communiques. The Council has had multiple reactions to it and..." The blond man gently passed a hand across their moustache as he looked up.

"Have you ever heard about The Seed of the P.L.A.N.Ts thesis?"

Margellan had a gripe with that thesis, if you remembered. It was a social study analyzed shortly after the war entered into a stalemate at Endymion and published soon after with a decent backing by parts of the PLANT council.

It didn't surprise you why, for the Thesis was and has been interpreted as a cause for Coordinator superiority.

"Think I heard as much... While analyzing Evidence-01. As the first Coordinator and Trailblazer of them all. The hypothetical Seed casted for the existance of the PLANT's is was him, right?" Trying to recall and sanitize the expletives off Margellan's recount of it all.

"Correct, although it has been only twenty years since Patrick and I have founded the Zodiac Alliance, the PLANT colonies have had a long-storied distinction as the shining beacon of safety and possibility for those of our kind." Clyne explained before suddenly growing a concerned expression "And that, has developed the idea that, if we are to fight for our Freedoms... Why should we look upon our Natural Predecessors that vehemently tried to control us?"

The Creation of the Mobile Suit... The N-Jamming waves... All powerful and influential technologies fully made and endorsed by the Coordinators of the PLANT colonies and that had distinctly shifted them from would-be trounced over rebels into a fighting chance capable of toppling the combined might of the whole of Earth's nations... One would be blind to even suggest such would not have changed the general outlook of themselves from their origins

"And that is the crux of the Seed... It grows, nurtured and conditioned by the circumstances its growth" Clyne seemed serious as he reconsidered speaking his mind further, taking a look over to the other row... And themselves being engrossed in their own reporting "I'd be a fool to try and compare myself to or say I directly descend from the late George Glenn, but... The idea of superiority against this past... I've fought for our Freedom and Independence nearly all of my life, but I feel sick by the growing demands of repayment in blood for all our struggles."

Thesis or not... There was backing to that shift in culture no less aided by the atrocities the former sponsor nations and the Alliance were willing to press.

"And that is why I deem you important enough to lend your own word. As a Natural who stepped into our world and thrived in it... You and your accomplishments represent a different reality I wish to see the seed within the PLANTs grow."

You widen your eyes at the exceeding praise yet... Find yourself unable to properly answer it as the shuttle docks.

The two chancellors leave soon afterwards, preparing for the session far ahead and extricating themselves from the hidden meeting as you, Athrun and Le Creuset leave to be escorted to the PLANT council's headquarters as was instructed.

And yet those words of praise held up at your head as you gazed to the very own fossil stored within the building, awaiting the time of your audience.

To think this thing... Could kickstart the events following towards now...

"You're looking at it rather intently, aren't you?" Athrun leans to your side as they too stare at Evidence 01, The Jovian whale that had shooked the world upon its discovery "First time you're seeing it?"

You nod to that "I honestly can't believe the PLANTs would keep it after all these years... It feels like something that would belong in a museum." You mention ahead as Athrun shook their head.

"At the time, the Zodiac group and the Crew of the Tsiolkovsky didn't trust the sponsor Nations on maintaining its integrity after getting confirmed it wasn't fabricated... For me though, I can't believe we'd keep a rock." You raise your eyebrows at what he said, sounding utterly casual about it before he raised an eyebrow "I... Why're you looking at me like-?"

This thing sparked revolutions across the earth, it destroyed religious foundations and reshaped how the entire world thought space could manifest after-.

"I know it's history, Frieden... It still doesn't change that it's a rock." You... Ease up a bit after he clarified.

It's not out of a place of disrespect but rather, something the Thesis had also broached in.

That maybe the growth wouldn't be done at a mirror pace to the stimuli and culture around it... That it would grow errant from it and potentially, create a new sprouting result separate from its origins.

Maybe... That still doesn't change how you're both waiting to be summoned, as your mind finds itself finally elsewhere... Focusing on what could be happening as you stand watching this piece of evidence.

Reading through this I have to say giving mercy was a mistake. The other side gets mobile suits it'll just elongate the war. With more moving parts more things can go wring om both sides.
