i super agree
i don't need the general bayverse aesthetic to remain, but I want to keep seeing bad guy transformers with fuckin dinosaur legs and clawed hands and like a tail that turns into a jackhammer more often.
i dont need fiberoptic einstein hair, but I would like to keep seeing weapons that transform out of the body. and car doors becoming wings.

They always bullshitted the transformations hard, but in 1-3 the robot modes at least looked like they were made out of a car. In TLK they just completely stopped giving a shit and made robots that had nothing to do with cars in their design.

Got a Siege Prowl for cheapish off ebay, so I did two things I wanted to do for a while: Swap out Earthrise's head for it and use the body for the other Autotrooper head. Who else besides Rook should join Prowl's new police brutality squad.

The fact that some of the truck's kibble stays in frame gives viewers the benefit of the doubt, which is what made the old transformations great. The cheating isn't nearly as obvious, which they stopped caring about when size cheating became the norm past the third movie.

you can't possibly think that's superior, not to mention the price point was 50 bucks back 8 years ago, which is about $65 in today's money.

Look at A) how poorly they deal with the front wheels B) the lack of articulation in the hands C) the inaccurate paintjob on the face D) the face SCULPT alone. E) the quality and complexity and number of accessories he comes with.

I think you're thrown off cause the paint they DID use on SDCC is, in typical SDCC fashion, a superior quality of paint.

But that's the only thing it has going for it.

Y'know I like how the figure looks and think it's probably the best toy this design has gotten. I could even accept it being a small leader if it feels hefty enough. But given the size couldn't they at least have painted the damn thing? At least concept SS Megatron is covered in silver paint.
